I was waiting for a scene like this where Ishwari asks Sona to stop Dev. And wow CVs gave me that. Today it was the black coffee Dev was keeping on drinking which was not good for his health. And I liked the way Sona asked Ishwari. Shall I scold him. Ishwari says no. Then she asks can I make him understand lovingly. Again she says no. Sona says she cannot scold him, she cannot tell him lovingly then how should she stop him.
Ishwari says you are the doctor you are asking me questions go and stop him somehow. This scene is gonna play out in future. Dev is gonna be in self destruction mode don't know what could be the trigger for this. It can be Khatri and whatever associated with him. Something is gonna be there which Dev is gonna persue with vengeance that jeopardize his wealth, his position, his life itself. And Ishwari will have no control of stopping him. She is going to go to Sona or Sona will come knowing the situation and Ishwari will give her permission to stop her son somehow. Only Sona will be able to stop him from self destruction. Yesterday's scene was a clear indication of that and Ishwari herself will accept it.
On a side note from a third party Sona knew what Dev's childhood was like. Shaheer was good yesterday. He looked somewhat uncomfortable when his past was opened in front of her. Still there was a small smile. And I could see in Sona's eyes a new respect coming for him.

Well though I'm not sure whether it'll happen or not and simply because scriptwriters seldom care to look back upon past episodes but I found the whole scene as interesting because unknowingly Ishwari , who's the biggest road block to their love story is the one who's encouraging more interaction between them thus playing the role of reverse Cupid.
Some how I did not like how Sona found out about Devs past hardship. it was some how oversimplification of the script n thus diluted the impact. I wish it was written differently. Some how it didn't make any sense to me as to why'd Devs teacher jump to such a conclusion that Sona is Dev's gf or some thing. Why on earth would he think that n that too without asking or. verifying with Dev.

@Anna that I agree to you. They over simplified it. I would have wished for it to come in a much more impactful and beautiful way. That's why I didn't take that scene for analysis.

I know that you might be thinking that what's the point of nit picking on logic in Indian TV shows ?? But it's not just logic here that bothers me . The revelation didn't come in a way that looked significant n a game changer so far as Devakshi equation is concerned. But it is a game changer because Sona will start to see DEv in new light after this , she'll start to respect him as a self made man n it's very important to respect before love can happen.
And CVs handled it in a very ordinary n much less than impactful way.
LOgic jaye Bhad mein , pad TV show hai to entertainment ya fir impact on viewers , these are at lest very very important , even in Indian TV shows.

While I agree the grand reveal of Dev's life story/ hardships could have been executed better, I actually like that it came from a third party and came through so casually verses heavy dramatic dialogues and emotional atyachar.
It fits in with the pace of the show - except for Ishwari and Dev's relationship and Ishwari's stubbornness - nothing is terrible OTT yet.
For a person like Sonakshi that comes from a humble background herself and understands the nessecity of money - she now has new perspective on Dev and his complexity. She now knows his money mindedness doesn't come from greed but self preservation. Money is security for Dev, security of survival and a shield against the world he came out of. Sonakshi in that sense hasn't faced adversity - sure she grew up in a household where money was tight but not in an enviornment where she had to worry about her safety or survival - she was lucky enough to have a childhood.

This is actually really good - we have some preconceived notions between the leads starting to fade.
Sonakshi's interpretation of Dev being a rich, money hungry, arrogant individual - removed from grassroot reality - has been broken.
Now we need to see how Dev realized Sonakshi isn't an arrogant quarrelsome doctor but a person with genuine dedication to her craft.
