I don't want to read the book, the movie was enough, just wanted to know if there is any explaination for this
Great expectations was written by Charles Dickens, it really is worth a read, trust. It is moody, atmospheric and most women who read it like it. 😛
Tabu's character is Miss Havisham. I think a fascinating character who was bright and vivacious at one time and was jilted. So she turns against the world and men in particular and basically raises Estella (the character played by Kat) to be cold and cruel. In the end she realizes her mistake and asks Pip (ARK's character) for forgiveness.. If she is played well and there are versions like the Helena Bonham Carter ones which are played very well this character is multi layered like in the book, not one dimensional as Tabu played it.
