A sangeet ..happened before..on Teri Meri Night

and he asked her that night in front of every eye, "Poora nahin karogi..."[ won't you finish it...after seeing her standing alone , feeling embarrassed and sad of thinking to lose in front of LaadGovernor from whom losing is like a punishment to her...Like what does he think of himself.

That ASR who opened up to her ...opened up to the world that there is more than this Haar and Jeet..[winning and losing]

Today, he was again standing there to inform this world that there is nothing more than making his lover his ...by all means. 👏 👏 👏 yeah, he is out here, reduced as it were to his essential self and he is ready to show his love no matter how it's asking to be shown, no matter who is around. i thought that was a great movement in akhdoo singh raizada's evolution.

Tonight,She challenged him by telling NK, leave it , he can't do it and he showed the world and to her tiny heart that what can he do? What length he can go for her because"Love can reduce anyone to anything.."

He danced over Teri Meri just for her to tell her that lets start again...lets fall in Love again...Lets remove our differences to move forward with these heartbeats...

and he danced tonight again ,just for her. to ask her hand for him, but did he need that no.Because he knew she is with him for eternity ,but this is her wish and her tiny request to see his Laad Governor to seek her hand in front of this world...filmy ...oh yea, she wants her Arnavji as Salman Khan and he delivered her wish in no time...

Without caring anything ,but her heart and their soul which replenishes always with her smile...

interesting you found a connection to teri meri. don't you feel that was a strength of story telling, they tried to keep strong ideas alive, adhering to the tale. of course, sometimes they had severe amnesia. 😆

poor arnav ji, now forever in love with the filmi one... by the end of it he may be running around trees singing. 😆

after the intoxication of the previous episode, it was hard to come back to reality. when scene opened on pink walls, i winced.

i know we had come to these walls in 348, but i had hoped we'd start the episode on a sweeter note.

instead, we were given frenzy. khushi's frenzy at the thought of today being her wedding day. i am not saying this can't be a possible scenario at this stage of the story. but nothing seemed to gel.

sanka was not pure somehow.



when we reached shantivan, it was even more perplexing. nk for some reason slept in the hall. and when woken up by the whole family, he spoke of how he'd stayed up the whole night brushing up on wedding customs... several minutes of fairly meaningless prattle followed.

then there were those serial type signs of impending doom sort of dialogues. earlier khushi had shouted at someone for suggesting chameli and insisted she wanted gulab, roses at her shadi. gulab instantly suggests something is up and most likely maa is involved in it in some way.

now nk said, "lekin issbaar nannav mere bhai ke shadi mein main saare kasme achhe se nibhana chahta hoon."

but this time at nannav my bro's wedding i shall abide by all the vows.

he meant customs, of course, and had confused kasme (vows/promises) with rasmein (rituals). anjali corrected him with a pained expression. there were other indications that he instead of asr might end up being the bridegroom today. his sherwani even matched asr's and she wore a turban while the dulha refused to.



all through there was a sense of major setting up of ominous event about to transpire. we know ultimately all the hint dropping about there being a possible switch of bridegrooms was pointless. asr came and married kkg. so why was this done? to make us all tense during the asr not showing up stage or because at some point nk as khushi's husband was also considered and then hastily abandoned along the way.

you never can tell with a hindi soap.

anyway, the big day is here. everyone is all dressed up.


the bride is in pink ad green, colours of episode one. khushi is looking pretty but her fake sanka is still in full pelt.

the red bangles arnav ji has given her, break. directors want us to know something bad is on its way.

we all know that anyway, dadi is in vengeful mood for a while. and so in this episode she appears and stuns her grandson with the picture of khushi's amma and his pita ji.



again, what might have been an engaging even if a bit obvious sequence, failed to make contact. there's just no chemistry between the actors and everything is unidimensional. flat. loud.

there are a couple of moments where barun takes the viewer to the turmoil of this hour. but nothings peaks.

i found his problem solving, brisk question to dadi very cute. she is insisting they must talk now. he doesn't want to get late, he's promised khushi he'll be there on time. wso he says, "okay... car mein baithke baat kar sakte hain?"

okay, can we talk in the car?

later, when dadi makes it clear that she will not be welcoming khushi as daughter in law and in fact, he may not wish to marry her, he lashes out with that asr gussa and intensity, stop it, dadi... mujhe ye sab baatein nahin sunni hai!" stop it, dadi, i don't wish to listen to all this.

he knows she is playing a game, but he won't fall for it. when his grandmother speaks of a truth that will make him part with khushi, a beautiful line...

"toh aisa sach mujhe janna hi nahin hai... jo mujhe khushi se alag kar de."
then such a truth i don't wish to know.. one which will separate me from khushi.

a couple of things i enjoyed in 349.



ipk is often really good with showing interaction among family. everyone is ready to go to the wedding and the guys are hanging out in sherwanis, when suddenly anjali walks in with a busy air and starts dousing chhotey with perfume. he obviously doesn't like her doing this, but she is all elder sis and he, irritated but letting her do her thing since he knows there's no stopping her anyway.

us and our thing for perfume. i giggled at this little scene.




and yes, that "hi."

now barun sobti should really start conducting a programme on the many ways of saying hi and all their significance.

khushi called him and of course everyone in that happy shadi mood, refused to let him have his phone, taking turns to have inane conversations with khushi. the phone call from kidnap came to mind and all their several calls to each other. this one gadget of our times is such an essential part of their romance.

finally, he'd had enough. he snatched the phone and declared, "okay... aap log chaliye main khushi se baat karke aa raha hoon..."
okay... you all go ahead, i'll talk to khushi and join you. he sounded a little angry... nice.

and then came the

"hi..."

sweet soft tender. on a slightest ever smile. one had to stare.

even if sp and its achchi ladki needs had completely done away with any normal reaction from khushi about the night that had just gone by, when she had made love to her husband for the very first time, asr was not having anyone stop him from saying what he had to.

yes, the evening before had happened. he knew it was khushi's first time and he meant to find out how she was doing, if all was well. he was possibly worried she was hurting... yeah, we are never supposed to mention such things... but even as all our minds are skidding into the gutter, he will ask what he must and with such poise and sweetness, we'd be passing out too.

"khushi, tum theek ho na..." awww. khushi, you're okay aren't you? his three little words, tum theek ho... now in this moment of their lives. i remember his brusque husky theek ho tum in a godown during kidnap.

she smiled gently.

"i mean, tum..." i mean, you... he started

"hum theek hain!" i am fine she said. still smiling.

"i mean, kal raat ke baad..." i mean after last night.
yeah, he said it... that explicit.

then she said a very soap type of line, completely changing the mood and tone... words sounding heavy and too squishy.




thoughts

~ piyumori mehta is again an actress i like. she has a depth in her portrayal. the scene with khushi was moving, if only story were strong.


~ "no thanks, mujhe koi pagdi nahin pahanni hai..." no thanks, i am not wearing a pagdi. asr sounded cute.

~ what happened to that bracelet he was looking at and then put into its box? maybe in season 2? 😆

~ "aaj hamari shadi hai..." said khushi. didn't she sound just like heer? was this also a hint that all will not be well? uff, socheka padi.

A Quenchless Thirst...

A passionate love is a quenchless thirst...which Arnav and Khushi shared every moment .The moment the came closer ,their hearts felt a fear.A fear of losing themselves.A fear of losing their self guarded hearts which had no control anymore over anything.The hearts which screamed and pleaded to stay away from each other by yelling at loud " humain koi Fadak nahin padta.."[ It doesn't matter to me]

He shoved her around by hitting all sorts of insults when she got engaged , he cut his own hand imagining someone else who had touched her by putting ring on her hand.He punished her along with himself by shoving her aside on Diwali night...

Red 👏

"Mere liye uss baat ki , ya tumhari koi ehmiyat nahin" [You or whatever we had couple of minutes before ,have no meaning to me]

Yet her bleeding finger made him fuss about and he announced her his by putting ring of bandage on her in front of God, as he doesn't believe in it.

He saw someone hugging her , he filled her maang with Sindoor as he hated her so much yet Ranjha was nothing without heer.He wished he could die with her.

He left her crying over the airport ,but couldn't "kyuon Khushi se door jane main itti taqleef ho rahi hai..[Why is it so difficult going away from Khsuhi?]..Yes ! He accepts that he loves her no matter what and being miles away he confesses that he tried his best ,but he couldn't hate her...yet he wants to be with her ..for forever.He doesn't want anything else...

He could go any length to bring a smile over her face as he hated seeing her in tears.He knew how much he had given her .Her wish of Pheras ,just to regain her respect in every eye was his mission.Does he care for that?No! but She wanted it then "Kar ke khatam karte hain...[let's finish it.]

Tonight, a wife pleases her husband just to show her Haq, right without knowing that her innocence was melting him every second.yes , Namak ishq ka...tere ishq ka...She accepted it loud enough boldly that she is in love with him madly and can't stand anyone in between him and her.

A heart-to-heart chat between them. They openly said to each other "I love you, dammit" bu tonight, first time , They talked about their telepathic connection which they hold since from the beginning. Ajeeb... "weird". They smile over the strong pull they have for each other. She could hear him and he could hear her heartbeat as always .He did tell her over Holi,"Our heartbeats become one"...whatever you feel ,I feel...but she was drunk to remember,but he did ...tonight ,they both did.

Khsuhi always knew ,how much he put himself in pain when he has hurt her and gave her tears and tonight, Arnav confessed ,"Har Bar" to her that he could never bear her tears.

This Har Bar killed me every time I watch

I felt to my guts when he said that he felt empty till he met her.How much pain he was holding all these years. It was absolutely heart wrenching when he told her That he couldn't live without her. Arnav Singh Raizada "Jise kissi ladki se Fadak nahin Padta" cannot think of a life without his Khushi and he takes a promise never to leave him as he won't be able to survive..,

Tonight, he brought the stars home so whenever she missed her parents,She could talk to them.Her Vishwas, belief is his now.Even , in telepathy time , he knew she was seeing stars , talking to her parents. He pointed out that his mother is residing right next to her mom and he deliberately chooses a bigger star as her mother with fondness and love .There was no pain,as he knows she shares the same with him.

He apologized after knowing that she is an orphan like him and he was at peace taking her to his sacred Mom's garden where both took blessings as she is his wife no matter what.Everything was for this world.

They smile over their weirdness when her smile and innocence has increased his heartbeat and he turned to kiss her...a natural , longing and urge ,which he controlled seeing her so uncomfortable .He apologized making her calm as he knew better, without marriage she finds all this odd.

His teary eyes, and his confession was more than enough for Khsuhi who could go any length for this man...can give up her life too.She kissed away every pain tonight which she couldn't the night, when he told her that his mom did suicide.

The touch of her lips soothed out his wounds and then the moment she leaned over his lips he took over.He removes every bangle , her earrings, her belt...yes there will be no inhabitant in between two hearts.

I love this scene ever, he kissed every bruise he gave her, he kissed her wrist which always had his fingers' marks on her.He kissed her neck, which he disrespected pulling her duppatta under his shoes that night in Sheesh Mahal.

He brushed his brushed his lips across her cheeks,letting her know his intentions fully by raising her heartbeat.She turns her face ...couldn't take it any more ..breathing heavily.He leans and she hugs him tight ...giving her full permission.His hand and fingers flow with elegance over her bare back...and he undid the dori ... keeping her in his gentle embrace, his lips caressed hers, her fair hair framing her perfect back over her shoulders.She never leaves her eyes over his lips .His hands remain over her curvacious body, he looked deep into her emerald eyes and knew that he loved her more than anything. ..I love the soberness of ASR which he always kept higher ,no matter what. He says, "Khushi", as if to take her final permission,

This is his respect for his woman who he can't see in tears... and she replies saying while cupping his cheek, "hum jaante hain" [I know]..and he leans over her lips to quench his thirst...a passionate love of theirs found an oasis tonight...having her in his embrace ... excitedly breathing blowing gently on his chest when his arms keeping her head rested over em, move closer to him by deepening his kiss... her hands brushed through his hair till she took em in her fist deepening the moment equally...

Finally he kissed his Khushi tonight...a quenchless thirst reached to an end to a new beginning.

They became one, one day before the day of their formal remarriage.

"Iss pyaar ko kya naam doon?".
