Dharaa's Dedication Gone Down

Dharaa's dedication to cricket has gone down ever since she married. Granted that she thought she'll have to quit cricket after marriage and yet she has got an opportunity to pursue cricket. But she doesn't seem to value the opportunity she has got. It was indeed her good luck that Roy sought her out and gave her another chance after she rejected the offer before marriage. And she gets concessions like being allowed for only the evening sessions while others need to attend two sessions.

- Cricket like any sport requires discipline and punctuality. But Dharaa came late to one of her training sessions just because she wanted to make ladoos for her husband. I mean, making ladoos was not an emergency; she could have made them some other time. But being on time is a basic courtesy to the sport, to the coach and to the team-mates.

- And then Dharaa cancelling to play the match because of Mihir's injury. Mihir wasn't in any life-threatening situation; he could have rested at home while she plays the match and comes back. She needn't have avoided going altogether. On one hand, Dharaa was lecturing the other girl about playing for the team, etc and on the other hand, she herself lets the team down without any remorse.

Honestly, the coach is very lenient with Dharaa and she is allowed to come and play as she pleases.

Yes, that is true. She is a granny's girl. The first mistake she made was she should not kept all the laddos before the children and the second mistake is she should not have told her baa about it. If the practice session is at 4 p.m, she should be at that time at any cost.

Show is just trying to show, that Dhara was dedicated as wife! and she did value her relations while being committed! Yet things didn't work out in her favour...

This is for all the girls out there, who feels, that she had broken her marriage, and pursued her dreams, and it's not easy for everyone to do so post marriage, and they should also break their marriage for their dreams... But just to let them know.. "SHE didn't break any marriage... by intentionally..." she tried her best to save it... BUT man didn't deserve it.. I still do not know.. how would have Dhara been successful had Mihir been in her life...

It would have been much better as concept where Dhara and Mihir would have been together, and Dhara would have to stand for herself ... and convince her in-laws like she did to her baa in her childhood that she can manage both of it.
The whole essence of the show is lost with divorce!

On one hand, Mihir allows Dhara to play cricket & on the other hand, he is deliberately coming in her way. Divorce is a last resort which she took when she found out Mihir's reality.

I agree... she is following Baa's principles a lot. She has been brought up this way from childhood and now she is letting that affect her aspirations.

And then when one has many responsibilities to handle these small mistakes in time management happen. And in such a case Dharaa should have prioritized... which is more urgent. She has made a commitment for the training and being there on time is more important. The ladoos for Mihir she can make some other day; after all ladoos can be made and eaten anytime.

Dharaa's dedication as a wife did not depend on whether she made the ladoos then. She could have made them after the training or the next day or any other day.

And let's assume it was Dharaa who injures her leg and she even goes to the hospital and gets the treatment done. And let's say Mihir has an important meeting the next day at work. Would he take the day off for Dharaa? It was not an unmanageable situation and so it won't be expected of him to leave his important work. Actually, he would end up getting a black mark if he bails out on some important client especially for something that is not an emergency.

About the divorce... seeing that they have intended to show Mihir as a negative person, divorce seems the only solution.

True... Mihir himself is hindering Dharaa's dedication. But then in this leg injury situation, Dharaa could have opted to go for the match. Actually, even Mihir didn't have to fake something really big or serious to prevent Dharaa from playing.

True that currently based on the situations it looks like circumstances were avoidable and Dharaa's dedication has started dipping. But maybe they are trying to show that it was all these tiny things that culminated into a monster. She gave preference to Mihir for the tiniest of things; left matches for his mere sprains and reached late only to make laddoos for him and yet he kept lying to her and deceiving her.

Maybe Deepak coming to Mumbai is a sign that Deepak too feels Dharaa's dedication isn't the same as before and she is infact not optimizing on her opportunity. His first question was what about the match on hearing about Mihir's sprain. He was shocked to hear when baa said accident hua but then knowing that it's just a sprain he asked match ka kya. So maybe he has come to keep a check on Dharaa lest she lose track.

Also, Dharaa's convo with her fellow opening team mate where she said jab passion hobby ban jaata hai tab I hope you understand kaisa lagta hai. So maybe intentionally they are showing her like this. She isn't being portrayed as a woman who wants to fight it out from the beginning and be a feminist. She is a woman who agreed to give priority to her husband and sought his support for a balance between home and cricket but failed to get it. While she made all efforts, he infact did everything in his capacity to hamper her progress.

Yes, that is why I said that she shouldn't have told Baa about it.
