I know many of u have read this book. The scion of ikshvaku, the first part in RAmchandra series by Amish Tripati. This is also a new narration on Ramayan which is really well told. I just loved the book and the author perspective and his new kind of projection of characters.I just wanted to know u r's opinion on this book.Just by curiosityPlease feel free to comment. And sorry if I told something wrong

I am reading it dear. Not yet completed. It has a fresh perspective. What I liked about the book is the description of law. It is done beautifully. Law has to be same.
But my major disappointments with respect to the book are these1) There was no need to bring a Nirbhaya like case in that book. It looked so out of place2) Sita is Lakshmi, she is not Shakti. Giving Sita more of a Shakti feel than a Lakshmi feel didnt quite connect it3) There was no need to mix Panchali swayamvar in Sita swayamvar.Amish Tripathi's books ( I have read Shiva triology) though tries to give a contemporary twist to the mythology, unfortunately he is unable to traverse the grey in the epics. Those moral conflicts, decisions on moral conflicts etc..needs quite a lot of improvising.Mostly he treats things black and white. Shiva trilogy end you can feel it. He tried to give a happy ending, not a logical ending.

@Agnesfan Lakshman is the only character he has kept more or less true to the epic. He has heavily butchered Urmila as an empty headed woman, whereas she is actually very strong willed
