To or not to see Saawariya: Fathers shock

Fathers Anil and Rishi gob smacked by Saawariya flop

It was supposed to be a sure fire hit… it had everything going for it. An established and award winning director (Sanjay Leela Bhansali). Two hot newcomers (Ranbir Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor), and two box office smashers (Salman Khan, Rani Mukherjee). But, what happened… was not expected at all.

Saawariya has been panned by the critics and harldy anyone is going to the cinema to watch it… even when the first screening was held, for cast and crew, the audience was yawning and leaving before the intermission. Salman Khan was one who left much much earlier, but that was for other reasons. But what do the parents make of this dismal flick… the parents of Ranbir Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor… let's find out.

Anil Kapoor is currently not talking to the media, and is very disappointed with Sanjay Leela Bhansali. He didn't expect this kind of movie but he has taken heart from the fact that his daughter Sonam has been appreciated for her acting and that she has or will sign more movies very soon.

Rishi Kapoor is laughing it away, and is not showing much emotion. He has spoken to the media and has tried to put a positive angle on it. He has confirmed that his son Ranbir Kapoor will re-launch the RK banner. Ranbir is currently writing the script himself, he will star in the movie himself, and Rishi Kapoor will direct. Rishi should be more than happy because Ranbir is the only one good thing to come out of Saawariya.

well im not going to listen to these two idiots...

SLB is a great filmmaker and he wants his fans to use their brains sometimes...not their eyes...who just sees the scene...

What did Anil and Rishi expected to be a Superduper hit..of course not because they are new! and the movie was released along with SRK's OSO..did anyone think there was any compeititon agianst OSO? not so. whocares about not being a hit. A Film is a FILM

Eh..to many typos these days😆

Well! I agree that Rishi and Anil can't blame anyone now. Both of them wanted the kids to debut in SLB's film so they trusted him.

SLB being a conscientious director shouldn't have made such a dark-unrealistic film with newcomers. All his films had superstars so I don't understand why he became over-confident with newcomers.😕Gone are the days when every confusing film was branded as "intellectual" cinema. These days even intellects wear Prada😆. Now there are only two things-good and bad cinemas. Saawariya was bad cinema because it put audience to sleep. There is nothing scholarly in an unrealistic cinema.

yes good film and bad film.

but many good films never make money. many bad films make a ton of money. money and good/bad sometimes don't walk hand in hand. i have seen too many bad bollywood superhit movies in recent times.

Saawariya cannot be consider a bad cinema..

i just got a spolier that ranbir endeds up being alone. why cant the indian cinema goers not realise that not every story has to be a cinderlla😕

it's a fact that the indian people love Masala Movies.. No wonder they are not getting their brains into saawariya...

no worries for Ranbir since he has many films lined up... i feel sorry for sonam
