Varun Dhawan overrated?

I agree among all of his contemporaries, he is the most successful one .

He is overrated. I've seen a bit of Badlapur and he was ok ok - I found Sid better in EV than Varun in Badlapur.

His dancing is overrated, his body is overrated, his acting is overrated, everything about him is overrated

Yes definetely overrated but its not his fault if all his movies have been hits till now. Didnt like any of them only Badlapur. I know people appreciating and clapping that he did Badlapur which is definetely good to show some range but doing it doesnt mean he was also good in it i think he was the weakest link from all the actors in the movie. I wouldnt say he is better or worse than his contemporaries his advantage is only that his movies till now didnt flop so that makes him look better than everyone else. Hopefully showcasing his six packs in the movies will also stop because his sixpacks looks weird and it irritates me even more.

Sid was terrible in EV. I really like Sid and i find Varun cheesy, but Varun is far more talented.

And I don't think, Varun is overrated, everyone I know calls him a joker.

I dnt feel he is overrated coz he isn't in your face 24/7 and made out to be the only actor to take BW forward like how let's say for instance a ranbir kapoor was being made out to be a few months back. He has only done 5 movies. 1 was totally different from whatever he had ever done it was his 3rd movie he showed he got some acting chops bt he still has a long way to go. I think he matched nawaz. He has done a comedy flawlessly, done a dance movie which was actually a hit, done a romance as well. But none of his movies have had an epic story line or a epic romance like for instances sids movie with Pari which was actually very beautiful and neither has he been paired with some1 like a Pari yet. And even with shraddha he and her had 5 min screen time together. But he has also given a forgettable performance like in dilwali or whatever that stupid movie was called. So he has had hits bt he has to not only maintain it bt he also needs to bring some variety in his movies and characters. He doesn't claim to be the best. Bt whether any1 admits it or not he works just as hard as any outsider be it a Sid, Fawad or ranveer. Bt if he continues to be part of movies like dilwali he is not going to be over rated he will be Uday Chopra part 2. The person who I do feel is over rated is actually ranveer's performance in awful-Rao mustani. I expected something beyond unique and amazing and it was good bt his performance didn't hide or go above the mediocrity of a useless script.

He was good in Badlapur... varied from terrible to okay in his other films. He can't do comedy though... he imitates others without bringing anything unique to the table (especially in MTH and Dilwale).
