Manik was walking towards the exit when he sees Alia.
He feels bad for Alia because he knew that there is something going on between Dhruv and Alia. She is good girl but just fall for wrong boy who is two timing her and Nandani. She even has to see both of them together as they study in same college.
When Alia see Manik she wave at him and motions him to come over.
Manik wave back at Alia and move up to her.
"Hey Manik! Long time no see?"Alia asked Manik chirpily.
"Hey Alia?"Manik replied Alia more questionably not understanding the reason for her chirpy mood.
She seems fine like there is no heartbreak for her.
"HI Manik! Where have you been? I thought of seeing you more after I find out that you have crush on someone from our college but you just disappear after Job Fair."Alia question Manik with raised eyebrow.
"There's nothing like that Alia .I have been busy."Manik sigh out ignoring the crush part.
"Nothing!"Alia exclaimed loudly, "You have been drooling on some girl from our college and didn't even tell me her name and now it's nothing."Alia asked Manik putting her hands on her hips.
"She is not the one Alia .I didn't realize it that time "Manik told Alia feeling bad that if he discloses Nandani name then Alia would be more hurt.
"Enough about me. So how have you been?"Manik waited for Alia reply.
"I am fine actually I am on top of the world."Alia said excitedly and give friendly hug to Manik.
"Ok so you're on top of the world but may I know the reason for it?"Manik asked Alia confusedly not understanding the reason for her happiness.
"I have bagged myself a Boyfriend who really loved me."Alia stated proudly.
"UMM. Who?"Manik asked again.
"Who? Are you really asking me that Manik Malhotra? After all you know who I want to be my Boyfriend."Alia bit back in anger.
"Dhruv"Manik spoke lowly.
"Dumbo.Yes . Dhruv finally he got the gut to propose me and after throwing some useless tantrum I accepted it."Alia told Manik hitting him on head to help him to remember his memory.
"Nk..Ok Dhruv. What Dhruv?"Manik shout loudly registering Alia word.
That Dhruv ... Cheating on Alia ...Or maybe on Nandani.
"Ya Dhruv. Why so shocked?"Alia asked, clearly showing her extreme confusion in her voice.
"Alia actually on placement night I see Dhruv proposing someone and that someone is not you."Manik told Alia the truth but not disclosing Nandani name again for some unknown reason.
"Ok "Alia replied in a calm voice.
Manik looked up and then his eyes flew up in shock to find Alia going through her I-Phone not understanding the gravity of the situation and sudden anger flare up in Manik eyes.
"You blind girl! Don't you understand the gravity of the situation? I am practically telling you that your boyfriend already proposes someone else and you're going through that stupid phone."Manik shout loudly and snatch the phone out of Alia hand.
"Chill Manik! You saw Dhruv proposing Nandani on that night and I know it."Alia spoke calmly and take her phone from Manik.
"By the way I like your concern for me."She winks at Manik.
"What you know it and still you're his girlfriend."Manik speak shock by her cool reaction.
"Yup because he actually didn't propose Nandani. He was just teasing her and I guess you caught them at the wrong time."Alia inform Manik and then seeing his confusion state told him, "Ok I can clear your confusion"

Placement Night

Nandani hugged him tightly but she doesn't miss the slight change in his voice and nor does she felt tingle all over her like she feel in close proximity of Manik.
"I know that one day will come when you realize your love for me."He speak dramatically and turns around.
Nandani was so shocked to see Dhruv but seeing his mischievous smile she continue.
"Of course I need to realize it after all you love me so much "Nandani told Dhruv and pinch his cheek
"Really then what about Manik?" Dhruv asked Nandani raising his eyebrow.
"What about Alia?"Nandani retort back.
"I will dump him/her."Both speak simultaneously and start laughing on their craziness.
They both are teasing each other but less Manik know about it.
He thought that Nandani cheat on him with Dhruv.
If she loves Dhruv then she can told him straight forwardly but no she keep that piece of information away from him. Making the fool out of him.
Not in the mood to listen more from them and see his love laughing with someone else he leave from there.
"OK enough. So Manik propose you." Dhruv asked Nandani and Nandani start blushing and nods her head.
"AWww our Nandani is blushing. What about that Dhruv! me and Manik have nothing going on' " Dhruv speak in a high pitched female voice trying to imitate Nandani.
"I don't speak like that."Nandani hit Dhruv on his head.
"You do." Dhruv stuck his tongue out at Nandani.
"What are you doing here?"Nandani huff out annoyingly and asked Dhruv and then Nandani see the impossible. Dhruv start blushing as he replied, "Waiting for Alia."
"Aww so are you going to propose her?"She asked Dhruv sweetly and Dhruv nod her head like an obedient kid.
"So are you nervous?"Nandani asked Dhruv feeling happy for Alia and him.
"Little bit as you know I never propose anyone till know and I am scared of her reaction what if she deny me or worst she didn't like my proposing style or.." Dhruv start blabbering and Nandani put her hand on Dhruv mouth to stop his blabbering session.
"Stop! You're blabbering."Nandani stop Dhruv.
"No need to be nervous Dhruv. just go to her and tell her how you feel because I am sure Alia feel the same for you."Nandani told Dhruv remembering Manik confession.
"But what if she rejects me?" Dhruv asked worriedly.
"For that you have to ask her first?"Someone speak and they turn around to find Alia standing there giving her million dollar smile to Dhruv.
"Alia You! Look Alia if you saw anything before about me and Dhruv proposing each other then let me tell you that I mistake Dhruv to be someone else and propose him and he start joking with me. There is nothing going b/w him and me and we are only friends. If you want then I can also tie rakhi on his hand to prove it to you."Nandani told Alia not stopping a beat because she doesn't want to create any misunderstanding b/w them.
Alia laugh out loud and speak, "I trust my Dhruv Nandani and I saw everything so no need to worry."
"Thank god. Now I should leave because Dhruv have something to share with you which I guess you already know."Nandani wink at Alia and bid bye to both of them as she smile that finally they both are going to be official and soon she and Manik too.
Alas she know which misunderstanding she doesn't want b/w Dhruv and Alia is already come b/w her and Manik.
PRESENT
Manik was too numb to react. He felt as if the floor beneath him was snatched by someone. But in his case that someone is he himself.
"I need to go Manik. BYE "Alia told Manik as someone call her but Manik was too numb to react on anything.
How can he not trust his Nandani, his Kitten .She was innocent all along and he misjudge her?
He remembers that day when she comes to meet him and he mocks her, how hurt she was, she was crying there standing in front of him and what did he do? He insults her; mock her, told her awful thing. How hurt she wills be after listening my baseless lies about t using her.
Even today she writes that song for him and there was too much pain in her voice and again like a fool he is he left her there alone.
She is soo hurt, sad and all because of him and his stupidity.
No need to cry over spilled milk. He needs to do something. He knew that he committed the sin by blaming her innocent kitten. He made her cry, snatch her beautiful smile from her face, insult her in front of his friends all because he is such a fool. But he also knew that if he explains the situation to his Kitten she will understand it and if not then he is ready to fall on her feet and ask for forgiveness and one last chance to rectify his mistake.
No matter what Manik Malhotra will win back his Kitten and that too so soon.
