Those of you that know me, know that I have a penchant for non-linear storytelling. So, there is no guarantee that the next update will be their past. I believe that past and present are not so cleanly categorized and boxed in our everyday life. They don't appear in such conveniently linear fashions. And I don't believe that they are that neatly arranged in our heads.

I do want to thank each and every one you for your unquestioned support for the call I made when my dearest friend's story was plagiarized. @Chokri_ASR's Revealed was stolen word for word.

I am grateful for your unflinching support not only to the call that my dear friend @Aquasandhya had made to the forum administrators for providing measures to safeguard our stories, but am truly grateful for your faithful follows on our blogs as well.

I am so happy to share with you that with @Aquasandhya's appeal and initiative and the forum's prompt response we now have measures to make sure that our stories/posts cannot be copied. Waiting to know what "Baatein" that "khamosh tasveer" was doing ;)

Khushi and Arnav have both come here with so much of their mind already made up. Her convinced that this time with him is, and can only be, ephemeral. Him with the fear that what if it is ephemeral. The kashmakash within him sending such conflicting and confusing signals. Both of their hearts though encased in protective shells.

The intensity of the conflagration of desire between them is just phew. You build up the atmosphere so evocatively. Each breath they take singes me. Each sound of the storm makes me jump. The nervous anticipation and apprehension within me gathering momentum as the night wears on. And then you stop! Aisa koi karta hai :(

Now where did I put that horse's head ...

That my dear was brilliant and so intense!

In this update we get to see the mind blowing chemistry that continues to sizzles today... there is no timestamp on how long one needs to know the connection with another. It's just there, like these two. Always has been, as young adults and now later in life. Being young you don't know what the future holds not having experience. There are so many Arnav and Khushi like that in this world. The fear of the unknown. The difference this time around is what they can gain by grabbing that second chance. In this case, EVERYTHING.

What I love about these two is they are not perfect, they have scars that define who they are as individuals. It's the consistent theme throughout this journey. That's a must in good storytelling, it's what gets under our skin, left wanting to know it all. Not to mention excellent writing, making the reader feel part of the experience. And my dear SS you have that perfect combination, which sets you apart from anyone else.

Thank you for allowing me to part of this journey SS! I am in love with it all... 🤗

The attraction between Arnav and Khushi is almost combustible.

I am scared to even blink my eye or take a deep breath while reading about their chemistry lest even a small movement done by me would produce a chain reaction and ignite the ready to explode and highly combustible attraction between them.

And this kind of passion, only you could have visioned it Mira. Kudos to you. 👏

But apart from the above, you know today or actually from past 2 to 3 days, I tried to understand the underlying implications of this update a lot.

I tried to understand Khushi a little more here. I tried to understand her actions, her reactions, her silences, her words, everything about her a little more.

The death of her parents has caused some deep deep wounds within her heart and soul. And even after so many years it has not healed. She is hurt, deep within. She is scared, she is lonely.

She is not a strong person. And she is not to be blamed for that. Losing ones parents right in front of their eyes at the tender age of 12 can scar anyone permanently.

But then why did she take this bold step of coming away with Arnav who is practically a stranger to her for a week or 10 days?

I think the answer lies in the fact that she was immensely attracted to this guy.

First time in her life, she wanted to come out of the safe cocoon she has built around herself, where she protects herself from getting further hurt in any way.

First time she wanted to experience life to the fullest. First time she wanted to be that brave and strong girl she probably never even imagined herself as.

She thought for few days, she will let go of all her insecurities, her demons and enjoy life, collect these happy moments, store it in her heart and then go back to living her life in her safe cocoon again.

She did not want Arnav to see her vulnerable side. Even when he asked about her parents, she did not want to continue talking about them, because she did not want his pity.

She avoided all those topics which would show up her demons in front of him.

She wanted him to treat her like his equal. She wanted to be the "Bold and the Beautiful " Khushi and not the "Weak and vulnerable" Khushi in front of him.

Arnav is anyway a guest, a mehmaan for 10 days. So she decided to put on this mask and live life to the fullest.

She thought this one week is just a dream and she will never expect it to come true. So enjoy this dream to the maximum.

But, but the dream did come true, is it not Mira?

And Khushi got scared. The dream was not supposed to come true, and now it is true.

What should she do? My guess is she could not take the bold step towards making this dream into a reality and withdrew into her safe shell, her cocoon.

Coming to Arnav, he never understood who the real Khushi was? The Khushi he fell in love with was only an illusion. Real Khushi was someone else completely.

And even today he does not know who the real Khushi is.

My guess is NK and Lavanya knew who the real Khushi is. They were well aware of Khushi's demons, her fears and her vulnerabilities.

NK stood with Khushi even when she pushed him away because he knew that Khushi will never accept anything easily. NK did fight for her love, but unfortunately he could not make her a stronger person. He could not destroy the demons within her.

Her more than normal emotional dependence on NK does prove this. His constant assurances of togetherness be it till old age or eternity shows how much she needed his support, how much he became her anchor.

And now without NK, Khushi is more hidden in that cocoon. Like that one week ten years ago, Khushi did take one brave step towards Arnav. But that is not enough unfortunately.

If Arnav wants Khushi in his life, he has to understand who the real Khushi is first.

He has to fight her demons, he has to build a more safer, stronger bond with her which inturn would assure her to break free from her insecurities.

Otherwise history will repeat itself .

I have said it before and will continue to - You give words a heartbeat...

Whilst reading your update - we were literally transported back 10 years... We get to know Khushi and Arnav - A couple who felt something more than an attraction to each other

They both were aware of each other's presence ..they knew exactly why they were at the farm house.. They both were consenting individuals , .yet still Arnav appeared to be the one who was more hesitant - his thoughts ' She would demand everything in him and he would want all of her. And they didn't have the time to... He couldn't do that to her, and more selfishly, he couldn't do that to himself."

I cheered for Khushi - her boldness at pulling him toward herself on the couch - why is it only the man who can make a first move !!

I wanted not to allow myself to think of where they are today - at an impasse - I felt it was important to be neutral to understand their interactions..

But I would be lying if I said I succeeded.. What was not on their side .. age ...time ...fate ... was it really love or an infatuation ..yet they were always on each other's mind ..

Mira, this song came to mind - " Pyaar ke liye char pal kam nahee the - Khabhi tum nahee the, Khabhi ham nahee the -

incredible incredible writing...
such magic it was...!!!

young khushi and arnav...
alone... the raw emotions...
that young confidence...
I am seeing a completely new khushi...
on one side she is wounded with loss...
frightened to be alone.. seeking comfort..!!
yet on another side... she is having that blatant
desire in her eyes... that urge to not play safe..
that passionate aura making Arnav week on knees...
so fearless in making the move...
aah.. i love this khushi...!!!

Why is Arnav so hesistant...??
he is scared of heartbreak?
does she really do something which makes him turn his back
to her and leave her??
what more hapens in this farmhouse???

u really succeded in making me forget the present senario
of their life dear... it was just the young them in my mind throughout
the update...
but so many questions are now coming baq again...
and m so so eager to read more of this magic now...!!

Life took a turn and I am still trying to adjust.

This was one of the best update

Khushi was so bold and Arnav was vert strong in controlling his hormones

The Khushi you have created in this story has different extremes.

When she was young, she was a risk taker.

But not life has knock her down.

Will ever be able to go back to the old Khushi

I am awake in the middle of the night reading this and now am all hot and bothered.

And wanting to know what'll happen next.

Were the two already in love?

Or were they too young to know what it really was?

But one thing is sure!

They definitely have a very strong chemistry.

And Khushi knows how this sejour is going to end.

The girl knows what she wants and is not afraid to go for it.

Why should it always be the man's prerogative?

How soon can we have the next chapter?

That is the question uppermost in my mind.😆

I enjoyed this foray into their past a lot! It gives us a glimpse into what happened all those years ago, gives us one more piece of the puzzle. The contrast between now and then intrigues me. Then, it was Khushi who wore her heart of her sleeve, while Arnav held back, for the fear of hurting her or himself. Now, it is Khushi who hold backs, while Arnav is the one who pushes.

You wrote the hesitation so beautifully, MB. Khushi's anticipation, her expectancy of what would happen over that week, and Arnav's hesitation, and anxiousness about what would happen beyond that week...both were palpable and you feel for both of them.

And I don't know what you were worrying about, when you were writing the intimacy scenes. They are just perfect. They fit well, and are written with the subtlety they need. But, you stopped there? (I kid, I fully approved of the stopping place. As a writer, brilliant choice!) But as a reader, I must protest! What happened after? What was her reply? Was the mood ruined? Did they continue? So many questions!
