Salman also did Phir Milenge. Also Tollywood which is highly chauvinistic had several Alist male stars play supporting roles to Anushka Shetty in Rudrammadevi.
I know these examples are few and far between but the truth is whether male or female no one will do a poorly written role if they can afford to. If the role is good enough and a star is approached then I am sure they would do them. But then there is also a question of budget as these Alist male stars cant keep doing films for free.
Today tables are turning with several Alist male stars finding it tough to get a Alist heroine as a flowerpot in their films like Sultan, Kabil, Thug etc.

Instead of giving along lectures they should learn from contemporary male leads.. they should reject flower pot roles so male leads are forced to cast new girls, but alas! they will readily say yes to pose with a Khan and do nothing but appear in as song with the hero. Too much for their women centrism!

It's easier said than done. Bollywood is no way conducive to woman centric movies. Female actresses do not have a pull at box office. Strong script, low budget, great director, great performance, 4 star review, good word of mouth along with good publicity - these all are required for a woman centric film to get success.

If actresses reject flower pot roles altogether it will only lead to career suicide. Actresses don't enjoy the crazy popularity that actors does. The ratio of woman centric movie is abysmal and not all of them guarantee success. They need to do these flower pot roles to remain in the view of the public. It's not the male actors who need these actresses to work in their film its the other way round. Look at Akshay Kumar, he mostly works with newcomers like Amy Jackson, Tamanna, Nimrit Kaur, Tapsee Panu. Did it affect him anyway??

isn't SRK doing that movie with alia in gauri shinde's next? may be a special appearance but his being there has hyped it
he also had a rather lengthy special appearance in bhootnath

that is one quality of his i like

OT..what is the fuss about?

why would a superstar male do an inconsequential role?

similarly why would a powerhouse actress do a flower pot? VB hasn't done it..kangana post queen hasn't

this is a question these A list actresses have to answer..just coz they are doing a singham or d3 with no role whatsoever..it is their lack of respect for their craft but they shouldn't expect these male A listers to do.the same mistake they are doing
