Ishq Bulaava- The Call of Love

This song was played in yesterday's episode when Kunj was taking care of Twinkle in their bedroom (that sounds shady...). This song is from the movie Hasee Toh Phasee which is a cute movie. The girl in the movie is a little off while the guy is normal which can sort of work fro Twinkle and Kunj as Twinkle is very lively and Kunj is calmer. Anyways, the song works excellently as a foundation for the upcoming romance between Kunj and Twinkle.

The first two lines actually send out an important message- that love happens when the time is right. I have this whole issue with my peers (I'm 17 so other teenagers, I suppose) that are desperate for a relationship because they're trying to force love to happen. I think it's silly. Love cannot be forced at your convenience. It's something that develops when you and your partner are ready. At this point, Kunj and Twinkle are ready to begin to grow romantically, it is logically, too. The circumstances in which they got married and the situations following their marriage did not give them enough to see each other individually. But, after the first round of Yuvi's nonsense was over, they had a minute to get closer, so now that he's back, they are able to not let it affect them as much. The next two lines highlight the growing feelings they have towards each; how they want to be near each other. It reminds me of the excitement of meeting someone for the first time and how you always want to be with them. Kunj and Twinkle are "starting over" so these feelings are applicable.

I feel like this part is particularly apt for Kunj and Twinkle merely because their relationship is so fun-loving. The first few lines express how Kunj feels about Twinkle. We saw it in today's episode during the dhaba scene when he seemed mesmerized as he saw the bubbly Twinkle that was lost. And it connects to how Kunj is willing to do anything to see Twinkle smile and laugh- even get beat up by a professional boxer.

This part just reinforces how Twinkle is very lively and bubbly. To Kunj, she is unique and hence from a different world. He was with Alisha for a while who greatly differed in her personality from Twinkle. Hence, while Twinkle is different and perhaps unattractive to some but as the line says that is subjective. Point is to Kunj, she is everything and he wants to be with her all the time.

Overall, the song is about the realization/call of love. Twinkle and Kunj are undergoing that right now so the song is appropriate.

When I saw the song pictured on Siddarth and Parineeti two years ago, I was like that is what I want in a relationship, two years I am still not there, but hope I can find that special guy. When I saw it this year pictured on Twinj it made me nostaglic again, where is my Sid or Kunj?

Yaar, don't worry. When everything is right, you will meet the person meant for you. I had a similar reaction when I saw the movie. I absolutely adored their relationship and seeing it on TEI makes me want a Kunj...someone with his qualities, atleast.
