Aren't given as much importance as they should be given.
The movie got released in just 700 screens and is doing some awesome business. I remember Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon did almost similar business with thrice number of screens Neerja got and all websites went crazy about how good business KKPK was doing.
The few movies I remember doing good with so less screens were The Lunchbox and Talvar, both did business in 26-30 crore range domestically. For Talvar, again BOI went crazy with one article per day about how good collections it is doing whereas the final verdict was Semi Hit whereas Neerja is already Hit still apart from the regular collections update article, I can't see many articles congratulating movie on good business.
So I just want to open a Congratulatory thread for super-success of movie👏 👏 Congrats to Sonam and whole Neerja's team!!!
I know many people don't care about box office figures.
But, Good collections do prove that people are flocking to cinemas to watch this movie when for most cases, the movie isn't shown in most of theaters.
For a movie like Neerja, which isn't even given proper screens, The movie came out as WINNER.
I watched it on Sunday and it wasn't available on nearby single screens. Watched it on multiplex and loved it. The movie stays with you and Sonam so perfectly played Neerja that its impossible to imagine anyone else other than her.Once in a lifetime performance⭐️
Hopefully the movie will get more screens from this Friday because if any movie deserve it then its THIS movie. And people do want to see it that's why its doing this great business despite less screen.
I think 65+ should be enough for it to get a SUPERHIT tag with just 21 crore budget. Go Neerja!!!
