Agree with Hajmola the beefed up look doesn't work for him, thin and lean is more suited to his body type, unfortunately I think it's required for the character in Dishoom.

Yep, they look painted on to me. TBH, I don't get why people go crazy for abs. I mean, it's not a deal breaker for me if a guy doesn't have abs, as long as he's not flabby I'm all good.

His legs are very short. Varun should not expand horizontally as he is doing. He should stick to looking lean and fit as Salman used to be in his younger days. That look would suit him. About his abs I am sure they are real.

Exactly. Beefing up doesn't suit short people, it makes them look even shorter. If you're short, the lean look is the best option for you.
