Survi as Durga Rani..? Sonal's interview

The media already reported about actor Sonal Vengurlekar aka Survi donning a new avatar for her prime-time show 'Yeh Vaada Raha' on Zee TV.




Now that she will be seen as the hip Durga Rani in the show wearing western outfits and sporting short hair in complete contrast to her previous look, Sonal expresses her excitement on projecting the new look.



Sonal shares, "From Survi to Durga Rani, it's been a great journey on the show. I will now be seen as Durga Rani, a Bhojpuri dancer and actor. To fit the character, I will be seen in western clothes like dresses and pants, short hair, make-up that's a little loud and a typical UP accent. While Survi was a mild-mannered, well turned out girl, Durga is loud and uncouth. It is a challenge for me now to play this part also with equal conviction and I hope the audience likes me and continues to shower us with their love."

M totally confused now..wasn't her name supposed to be Shanno Kumari? 😕

LOL yes show is unpredictable as far as names are concerned as well 😕😆

I guess last minute changes and maybe they chose name Durga due to relevance to the Goddess.
