Guess it's time to accept BO fate, Fitoor has tanked at the ticket-window and how. And as soon this news marked its confirmation, according to a popular daily, the blame game amongst the Fitoor team has started, as to who is responsible for the film' failure.
Apparently, during its shooting, director Abhishek Gattu' Kapoor and his producers had "innumerable creative differences" over how the film should be shot and later, marketed. A source close to Abhishek said, "Gattu wanted to do a faithful adaptation of Charles Dickens' Great Expectations. He never wanted to make his film solely about the love story between Katrina Kaif and Aditya Roy's characters, Noor and Firdaus. In his screenplay, the dramatic conflict is between Tabu and Kat's characters." But the producers had a different plan, it seems.
Added the source,"The plot moved away from being about the conflict between the mother and daughter (played by Tabu and Katrina) and became a Kat-Adi love story."
Also, as it turns out, there were several arguments about the filming of the Pashmina track, which wasn't part of the film. Gattu opposed the shooting and airing of such a song. But the producers went ahead and released a romantic music video for the song without the director's approval.
Well, if the captain of the ship's advice and suggestions were not considered, the ship, or say the film, had to sink!
