CHAPTER 86. RAB KA SHUKRAANA

Geet looked up shyly and then looked down. It was the night of her wedding. All the rituals were done. Annie and NT had just made Geet sit in the middle of the bed, helped her adjust her duppatta and ghagra to make her look picture perfect all the while teasing her about her big night and then left her alone. Geet took in a sharp breath. This was the moment, the moment Maan would make her his. She looked up curiously wondering when Maan will enter the room and then shyly looked down. She was unable to stop shying and blushing. Just the thought of Maan entering the room had her feeling goose bumps all over and her heart pounding like a fast running train. She took in a deep breath trying to calm her heart beats when the door opened. Her eyes widened. Maan! She raised her eyes slowly and there he was, standing by the door, looking at her with such a tender expression on his face that Geet could not look away. His eyes entranced her and she was so lost in them that she could not even blink. The spell broke when Maan moved towards her. Geet felt her cheeks burn and she looked down shyly. Why wasn't her heart calming? Why was it beating so fast?

Geet looked up and was stunned to find Maan standing in front of her. She looked down again as Maan sat in front of her. She sensed him stare at her but she could not look up. Her mind willed her to look up, to look at her husband, her Maan but she could not.

"Mujhe nahi pata tha ki meri Geet itni sharmeeli hai!", Maan commented but Geet remained shy and kept her head down.

"Geet! Kuch toh bolo!", he whispered but Geet refused to speak. Her thudding heart and her shaking hands did not allow her to look up or speak.

"Tum meri Geet nahi ho!", Maan spoke suddenly and Geet was shocked.

Maan was looking somewhere else in thought, "Meri Geet toh badi bindaas thi!", then he looked disappointedly, "Tum toh bahut sharmaati ho!"

Geet finally spoke up, "Woh Geet Raizada thi, Maan ki deewani, ASR ki behen!"

"Aur ab?", Maan asked as he leaned forward.

Geet looked up finally and looked at Maan, "Ab aapke saamne Geet Maan Khurana hai! Aapki patni!"

Geet could see that her words had touched him. Both looked at each other for while and then suddenly Maan stood up from the bed.

Geet looked at him confused just as Maan raised his hand in front of him, "Would Mrs. Khurana like to dance with her husband?"

Geet looked surprised and Maan explained, "I want to have my first dance with you as husband and wife!"

Geet's eyes filled with tears and she smiled softly. Her throat was clogged due to emotions so she could only nod. She raised her hand and placed it in his hand. She got up from the bed and Maan pulled out his mobile with his other hand and played a song. As the music started, Maan grabbed Geet's hand and placed it on his shoulder. Geet took in sharp breath when his hand then sneaked around her waist. She watched with wide eyes as his other hand grasped hers. The song started and they started to sway in their place.
