Farah Khan's heroine, Deepika Padukone, appears to have become hot property amongst the eligible bachelors even before her first release. Her list of 'suitors' include Ranbir Kapoor, Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Yuvraj Singh. The latest to join this ever-growing line is Harman Baweja. On Thursday night, Priyanka Chopra's boyfriend was seen wooing Deepika at a party at actor Sanjay Kapoor's home.
Says an eye-witness present at the party, "Sanjay and Maheep had thrown a party to bring in Shah Rukh's birthday (on November 2) at their Bandra home.
Harmless flirting?
The usual gang was there: Shah Rukh and Gauri, Mehr Jessia and Arjun Rampal, Sridevi, Hrithik Roshan, Malaika Arora with Arbaaz, Amrita Arora, Karan Johar, Chunky Pandey etc. Harman came with Priyanka but was soon seen chasing Deepika all over the party." Every party generates gossip, and the morning after King Khan's b'day bash, all of B-Town was discussing Harman going ga-ga over Deepika.
An actor from the party tries to brush off the incident as harmless flirting, "Harman appeared to be in 'high spirits' and probably that's the reason he got carried away even though Priyanka was present at the party. Harman wasn't misbehaving or anything, just acting a bit over-friendly with Deepika. We were all wondering why Priyanka was keeping quiet. After the party, everyone was talking about it. In front of Priyanka, he kept asking Deepika for a dance but she didn't give him any bhav."
Surprising behaviour
Not too long ago, Deepika and Harman were friends, or at least part of the same group, when she was dating Ranbir, "And that's why everyone was surprised at Harman's behaviour," adds the source.
Not misbehaving
Harman was unavailable for comment but a source close to Harman takes up for him, "It's not untrue that Harman was acting over-friendly or flirting with Deepika. She's a good friend of his and he would never misbehave. There were many people there. Also Harman doesn't drink or smoke. Certain people are spreading allegations about Harman."
