Apprehending danger to his life, actor Karisma Kapoor's husband Sunjay Kapur on Friday moved Supreme Court and sought transfer of his plea seeking divorce from a Mumbai court to Delhi court.
Kapur, a Delhi-based businessman, in his plea said he has been receiving threat calls from gangster Ravi Pujari since he filed the divorce plea in Mumbai. He said a complaint has been lodged in this regard with the Delhi police.
"In the light of repeated threat calls received from the gangster, the Supreme Court should transfer his case," the petitioner told the bench, headed by justice A K Sikri. Accepting his submission, the court asked the Delhi police to submit the status report of the case within two weeks. The court, however, has not issued notice to the Bollywood actor.
