I promise I'm not trolling. 😆 I hope I'm able to articulate my question well enough.
Do you guys think acting skills are important for female actors to get to the top?
With Katrina, I had thought it was possible to be a star for female actors without too many performance oriented roles, but then, that stardom seems to be a short-lived, in the sense that they will not be remembered generations down the line like a Madhuri or Sridevi who are known for being the total package.
Is true popularity and sustainable stardom only achieved for female actors when they can combine at least above average acting skills with a glamour and hard work?
Case in point, Deepika/Kangana/Priyanka only got to this point with strong, critically and popularly appreciated performances.
After a point of time, do actresses who can't hole their own with their performances fade away or will someone like Kat still be appreciated for her work 20 years down the line?
What say?
