When actions speak louder than hypocritical words. So it is with Kanak who offers to help the rest of the widows in the courtyard but with a visible uncomfortable limp. Talk about offering others a help like her son did yesterday, Kanak is far from doing that ,in fact she is high maintenance both mentally and physically by her presence for the widows. Common courtesy is embedded in the ethos of the ashram and Kanak asks for early morning wake up call cup of tea with lashings of extra milk. Dhani arrives with Rajlaxmi carrying malleable material. Dulari like the rest want to know why? Dhani's sense of service to others encourages her to share her purpose. They will make colourful bangles to infuse other lives with colour. True their widowed lives may lack hues of happiness but to give to others full circles of joy in the shape of colourful bangles, they surely can do. Then one look at chotti malkin , Dhani offers her a piece of advice that she'll support her in overcoming this feeling of being weak and helpless. Dhani also empowers her as a mother ,by overtly praising her son vakeel babu who filled her life with colours ,similarly she wishes to cascade those colours in other lives too. Kanak receives Dhani's comment as highly condescending on her part. Dhani's words before Kanak are like casting pearls before swine. Dhani calls upon all the widows to partake in the joyous activity of making colourful bangles out of the malleable material, which stands as a symbol of life.. mould it as you will, dull and toneless though, but still use it to bring joy to others!
In Ayodhya nivas too a group of people meet to celebrate in present times, the joys of bygones! The group is connected by shared experiences ,similar age range with possibly similar social ranking in terms of being need and want free..and possibly uphold moderate views about life style too.helooo Viplav? a voice from the past? he must be hallucinating !he reels around and there she is as true as life it self! Tania! yes its me! and I am back! she yells with a big broad smile. Viplav hugs and lifts us ,like mates do to mates! Boy he is delighted to see her! and then as friends do with friends who are boys , whinge at being forgotten! Vipav confirms her place as his best friend in his mind. But then Tania as Viplav knows her comes riding of a big wave! For she comes not alone but has two other tag a longs rianne and ratna! couple of old college mates! For Viplav the animate creature ,the more the merrier! As friends do after a long time one more news Tania shares with Viplav , she's engaged! and she flashes her bling bling ring in his face He's genuinely happy for her ,as not so long ago he broke off his engagement with her.. he had wished her well and today he is tremendously happy, in his joy he calls for dadi who also welcomes Tania as if she is part of the family. Viplav though wants to know what brings Tania to this part of the woods? she says trousseau shopping and the others want to look around the amazing city! Rightaway and Viplav passingly says fine ,but has a brain wave, calling Dhani out for showing these girl the city will also give him a chance to meet her too.. but let him call his fiance to accompany them too. Tania is clearly inquisitive and he admits shyly, well its only right and proper that Viplav tell her he too is engaged! curious she is to know who??? and he replies with Dhani.. who else? Dhani? she seems taken aback and the girls blurt, Dhani isn't she that...tania gives them an awkward look but one asks ,why are you marrying a widow?well Viplav loves to, given the chance to answer such questions ,that stink of common bias against widows! well this is not some widow this is about telling it as it is! about the woman he loves and wants to marry against all odds! Because she is a very simple girl! Different from other girls and I love her intensely! But then Tania adds apologetically , actually Viplav she meant that you were a hot topic amidst girls ,a most sought after bachelor , she hints you could have married better girls then why a widow? and Viplav gives Tania the reason firmly , because Tania I love her! and Tania gets the message and tells the girls instead , don't ask him any more questions. But Viplav only thinks off getting Dhani out of the ashram so he could meet her on her own ,without the heavy presence of his mother.. so he asks the girls would they like to meet her , and Tania is very keen , yes she wants to meet Dhani , check out how she has changed? she assumes that Dhani may have changed in her outlook and appearance seeing that she is engaged to a modern, moving with the times Viplav!.. the girls being modern city girls, think of calling Dhani to a party in a club!but Viplav laughingly turns the idea down as Dhani is a simple girl not in too partying. But the girls insist he could moot the idea to her ask her what she wants? Viplav agrees and then rings Dhani ,which he wanted to very much ,but he knows if he asks her openly ,she's likely to turn it down ,like she did before and he ended up treating and serenading Rajlaxmi!so he plays it a little cautious this time.. play it cool dude!
Dhani is busy moulding and making bangles and Tania is busy sending out feelers to see if Viplav is perhaps open to being pliable and supple..?when visiting his room she comments that he has changed, and he admits a little.. she condoles the death of his father and confesses he was broken and went to pieces but it was Dhani who gathered him.. Dhani! yells Tania get her on the phone I want to speak to her! Viplav rings..
Dhani sees who it is in the middle of the bangle making session. Kanak hears the phone watches Dhani getting up to answer it! they both accidently are about to collide awkwardly to answer Viplav's call. Kanak moves out of the way.. but curses her on , this silly Viplav again rings this witch! God knows what's happened to my son? he never bothers to phone his mother but Dhani he phones fifty times! I hope he's not planning to call her outside to meet him? she speculates silently.. Kanak fumes.. she may have banned these two from seeing each other but looks like she will have to destroy their lines of communication as well! So all signals and messages between them stops! Happily Dhani attends to the phone, I knew you would phone and Tania goes really? Dhani is perplexed and Tania tells her its her and she calls Tania madam , but Tania asks her to skip the formality as she is now going to be Viplav's wife so just Tania will do.. Viplav takes the phone from Tania and in great style he says hi Dhani !my other friends are here too , they plan to go out ,would she like to come to? and as he suspects she says noo.. then after second thought she says yes we can go and see the aarti of the river Ganges , but he says not really , they are thinking of going to a club! Dhani asks innocently , kalab? what's that? erhh its a place where people dance and sing..eat and drink.. its great fun! and she replies , I didn't know ,never heard of such a place.. Viplav says to the rest , didn't I tell you and one of the girls moan, this is ridiculous ! that means we can't go either..dhani finds it odd and she asks him ,how many girls have you got in there? and he tells her three ,they are all friends, have known them for years and we'll party tonight , you can come too if you want ,but if you can't make it , no problem.. but Dhani agrees straightaway , nooo , I mean yes I want to come! I was just, I will definitely come! I mean they are your friends ,if they want to meet then I should, otherwise what will they think of her? Viplav much amused but assured that she will come due her pangs of jealously perhaps? teases her, noo if it's a problem then don't come ,its fine but Dhani shouts at him I told you I'll come! what's your problem! Viplav chuckles and Tania wonders what he is giggling about? and Viplav confirms again with her ,so that mean's you'll definitely turn up at the club to party? and Dhani replies assertively, yes I will !and Viplav goes in disbelief , fantastic!! I'll see you tonight..
But Dhani is at her wits end, three girls ? with such ease he said I have loads of girl friends! This is not on! Dhani moans as the green-eyed monster! Although she reacts in being jealous of having girls around him, which in it self flatters Viplav and gives him a masculine kick! But deep down for her its all having to accept or more so of being aware of the fact , that the society and city life he comes from, possibly accepts men having loads of friends who are females. Its all very new for her. The last thing she wants him to be is unhappy. She will for the sake of her love try to adapt and fit in?
Fuming Dhani returns to make the bangles and whinges , did you know vakeel babu has loads of girls who are his friends , you tell me how can a man have so many girl friends?? Rajlaxmi who drools over Viplav any way replies, he's got the looks , he's bound to have many girls buzzing after him. Raj laxmi giggles and the rest of the widows want to know what's funny? Raj laxmi however tells Dhani , its normal for men to have many girl friends in the city. Dhani doesn't like the sound of what her friend tells her..
Kanak was missing but she returns to the ashram she carrys a small idol of maata in her hands. She was aware that something new was cooking between Viplav and Dhani . What with him ringing her earlier .So brazenly Kanak now uses religion as a manipulative tool to keep Dhani and Viplav apart. She knows what she is doing . In the main just like Dashrant she hoists the flag of faith and tells the widows , to ward off evil happening in the ashram recently .she has decided to have a devotional service , for Durga goddess and Dhani would be organising the worship. Dhani is worried as she committed to meeting Viplav too.. but now this puja..
Viplav drives the girls around. He is ecstatic due to them he was taking Dhani to the club.tania is still not sure if she'll come .so he says he'll phone and double check if she needs a lift. But Kanak ensures that Dhani is fully occupied ,so Viplav rings and rings and finally she picks the phone up. and tells him there's a worship at the ashram.. Viplav is most put off and moans it'll take her ages to get to the club , but she assures him she'll be there but he goes silent and she asks what is it ? why have you gone quiet? are you annoyed again? like you were yesterday? Don't be, smile ..and he smiles, a naughty smile on his face and he says, listen wear the same dress I gave you, she refuses and he says you'd better! and she puts the phone down . Tania notes that Dhani was late in answering his call and now by he sound of things ,there seems to be a puja in the ashram ,which she will be involved.. would this be possibly a chance to stir Viplav? but Viplav tells her yep she'll be there!
At the ashram the puja starts, as all are present and hymns are song to praise the goddess.
Knock on Viplav's door and Tania enters and he welcomes her by saying she didn't need to knock ,come right in! It so happens for some reason? Viplav wears a shirt that she had presented to him. She plays on the memory, but he apologizes and says he can't remember.. in a way telling her times spent in the past with her are history.Tania still seems to have some embers burning in her heart for Viplav. Pensively she says our lives have changed so much. He replies yes, Dhani has changed his life completely..when he fell in love with her ,now he cant wait to get married to her.. let's go! Tania says changing the subject. Viplav says let me phone her.. Viplav tries to get through. Dhani's phone rings in the puja. Kanak orders her to switch it off! then confiscates Dhani's phone this time! like she did Viplav's when Dhani tried to phone him from the siege. Kanak delays Dhani! even in a holy worship the evil woman.. then once the puja finishes, she sends Dhani too bed and cackles like a witch at her victory..long live goddess for completing my job! Has Kanak set up Tania?
well friends ,there's no two ways about it , for me , the episode is a promotion of viplav.. can I dare suggest with his gopis.. he is surrounded by girls. There's dhani, rajlaxmi, now tania... where is it going to stop.. I moaned to mycuz why are there no blokes after our sweet dhani? my cuz replied there' s two blokes after her too.. tripurari I punched my cuz! and she said the lawyer bloke he's gone ga! ga! over her.. yeah right.. Liooks like dhani plays hookie.. and tania gets to dance with viplav and I hope he tells her , what are you doing Tania?? ...hamlet53 11.2. 16
