Prologue

It was the eve of IshRa's wedding. They sat on the bench just below their respective houses. As Raman took Ishita's palm in his hand; a cold shiver ran down her back... she literally felt butterflies in the pit of her stomach.

He brought his lips close to her palm and left a wet kiss on the spot his name was etched... her nervousness grew at being so close to him!

Things seem all honky-dory ... you read of no pain, no struggle. Well people, that's a prologue up there... it's supposed to present to you an idea of the story. Well perhaps I didn't do a decent job of laying out the story plot properly. Well now I shall post part 1. Tell me what you thought of it. I swear give lengthy comments... no one word otherwise (akalmand ko ishaara kaafi hai!)

It had been a task to drag Ishita out of her comfy bed & liven her mood. Had it not been for Mihika, Ishita would hide her face into her pillow & continue wailing till the house wouldn't flood.

Mihika was Ishita's best friend. They were extremely close & after her break-up, Ishita would wail on Miku's shoulder for hours on end. Having had enough of the sob story, Miku decided Ishu needed to get out & actually live life... what she hadn't been doing ever since she FELL in love!

This young girl aged just 21 constantly blamed herself for the break-up. She'd become aloof, distant... as though she'd lost the will to live ...

They'd known each other since just a couple of years yet in this short span; he'd become the centre of her universe. She began to centre her routine around his will. She wore what he preferred, ate the food he relished yet something was amiss & unfortunately, she took the blame ...

"Mihika I was unsuccessful... maine apna rishta, apni mohabbat... Mihika maine apni [she choked at this point] zindagi ... sab kho diya maine..."

"You know what Ishu? Bas kar... khud ko blame mat kar [Ishu stared at her, questioning with her eyes if Miku had lost her marbles]

"You are supposed to console me Miku ... wth!!"

"That's the problem naa!! You want to sit here playing the blame game, crying over spilled milk... isske aage toh jaise you don't even have a life nahi... kya kahoon main tujhse Ishu... everything's gonna be ok bas you just keep crying & things khud bah khud sort out ho jaayengi! Darling that's not happening!"

...

" Ishu jab do log EK rishte ko enter karte hain... woh relationship un dono ki responsibility ban jaata hai. You blaming yourself for the failure of this relationship just doesn't make any sense yaar! Tune khud ko iss kadar submit kar diya hai naa that tune judgement ki senses koh dee hain ... yes you've had a break up but it's high time you think of yourself & prioritise yourself ..."

And the first chapter was quite interesting!

I just loved Mihika in this one!

Her words were spot on and I love her trying to help Ishita move on!

However I am wondering whether this breakup being mentioned is IshRa's or Ishita's past!

Really looking forward to see whose breakup this is and how the plot carries forwards based on that!

Overall I find it quite a catchy story! Hoping you will continue this one!
