Kangana a better actress than Deepika, according to Sonam

The cat fight between Deepika and Sonam continues

B -Town babes Sonam Kapoor and Deepika Padukone were best friends at one point (Remember how they bitched about Ranbir Kapoor during Koffee with Karan), but unfortunately their equation has changed now. And the reason for this is Sonam's blunt statements about the Bajirao Mastani actress. Surprisingly during a recent interaction, Ms Kapoor was all praises for Deepika .The Neerja actress praised Ms Padukone for her outstanding performance in Piku, but thinks that Kangana Ranaut deserved all the awards.

During an interaction with the actress, Bollywoodlife asked Sonam about expecting awards for her upcoming film Neerja, she said, "It doesn't work for me that way. I have been nominated for last three years for everything that I have done, but I have never made a hoo haa about it, I think it's really amazing when you get award but at the same time I don't think it's important."

The actress says she was heartbroken when she wasn't even nominated for her second film Delhi 6, "I figured this out when I was not nominated for Delhi 6, and that was a second film that I had did. I don't remember who got the award that year or what happened, I didn't get nominated for Delhi 6, because I didn't lobby for anything. I know the kind of impact that role had, I was really proud of that role, I was 22 years old and I was really disappointed, I remember whichever international festival Delhi 6 went on I got the awards for the role. The film got mixed reviews, but I got 6 awards from the international film festivals for that film, Asian film awards and many others but in India I was not even nominated. I will be very happy if I get nominated and get award but it is not much important for me after I realised".

When further asked the Neerja actress, if she will stop attending awards shows like Ms Ranaut, Sonam refuted and said, "No. The two of best performers this year was Kangana Ranaut for Tanu Weds Manu Returns and Deepika Padukone for Piku. For me the most commercially amazing performance was Tanu Manu 2 because she was amazing and she should have got all the most popular awards everywhere. Also for me critically Piku was the best performance of the year and so was Richa Chadda in Masaan. But I feel Kangana should own it and by attending award shows as she would have received the awards.

The actress goes on to add, "She deserves those awards, because she is not attending the award shows, she is not getting it and she is kind of damaging herself. I understand the principles for what she is standing for and I completely agree with her. However for me Tanu Weds Manu Returns and Bajrangi Bhaijaan are the best films this year and they should be receiving the awards everywhere."

She is right about Kangy being a better actress than DP. Thats a fact she is stating not an opinion I suppose. If only she has stopped after saying this statement. She goes on about how she didnt get nominated for Delhi 6. GIRL, even I am wondering how you didnt get nominated for that but for Dolly Ki Doli instead. But then even your role in Delhi 6 isnt that great. Hopefully Neerja changes mine and others opinion on your so called acting talent.

Umm, in some of th ceremonies, both Kangana n DP werent prsent, but still DP was th chosen one.. So what does Sonam mean when she says that Kangana should attend th ceremonies to get them..
