lmao, did you even read my comment? I clearly stated that I had not seen the movie.

But if you're going to make a story based on reality, you can't just make up whatever you want, regardless of whether or not you call it fiction.

Sometimes even I have felt so. We start with Ashoka, Kanishka and by the time we come to 1900 AD, we would be tired to study further. Me as a South Indian hardly studied about the king who made immense contribution to our state, our city, pre independence (I came to know later). All I read was, Ashoka, Akbar, Slave Dynasty bla bla, who had no connection with my region. No wonder, we were bored with history. Along with people who fought wars to expand their Kingdom, we need to learn about Tatas, Kurien of Gujrat too. Are should we know about them only from movies?

They are not really history yet , probably after 30-40 yrs they can be included in history but can be included in business side of studies .

I don't agree that we should completely remove mughal history from the books whether good or bad but i would be more interested in learning more about evolution of things in india i.e on the side of medicine, education, maths, science, business etc there were many clever people in india .

Ofcourse you can, and it happens all over the world, in all film industries, just that if you do, then don't promote it as historically accurate, which is not what they've done. It's a fictional movie based on a real event. I don't know about others, but before this film, I had never heard of this rescue operation, so if anything, it spread awareness of the event.

Akshay is not even doing that. No where he mentions current govt. Yet is bashed let, right n center since he called India tolerant. Why? coz his views contradict with my favorite's. 😆😆

Because that's his ultimate goal.. "outdoing" the Khans? 😆 Akshay has his own fanbase and doesn't believe in competing with the so called Khans. Helping farmers of our country is not just charity but also a form of patriotism, I don't think he is being a hypocrite here.

To be honest, I don't see why doing commercial cinema means you're not allowed to criticise it? He likes to combine both genres which is called being smart.
