Wasn't Anandi criticised for not remembering her wonderful husband and crying?

Wasn't she criticised for not showing any feelings for her lost child?

Wasn't she called selfish because she told Sarita that stopping child marriage is her aim in life ?

When she cries about her daughter on Dsa's shoulder she is called cry baby when she swallows her pain and goes on to provide a happy secure life for her son she is said to be least bothered about missing daughter

When she slaps Mangala she is an ungrateful woman when she tries to cope with Mangala's obsessive posessiveness she is termed as indecisive dumb.

Damned if she does and Damned if she doesn't.

I am not a big fan of how anandi tries to solve her problems. I often get irritated. But the creatives want to keep her like that in the false belief that anything else will not be accepted easily. Or they maybe too lazy to experiment. When they experiment they are dissed. When anandi changed her looks for the better, she was called dolled up bimbo. When she boldly went to a movie with kids with Anant, she was criticised for forgetting Shiv. Is she allowed to move on? She should not move on because she had such a wonderful husband. When she tried to be selfish about Nimboli, she was criticised for hurting Mangala. So those who criticise her are so confused about what they want actually.

Or can we say, makers are confused about how they want to present Anandi?

Where was all this love when she foolishly took her daughter to a dangerous place or was happily moving on with her life? Very confused as far as her aims / goals and priorities are concerned.

The same Anandi is against Bal Vivah, but can live in her Balak var's house permanently.

The same Anandi claimed to be eternally in love with her late husband Shiv, but has never told her children anything about his family, his house or their non-existent relationship with Singhs.

Very confused woman indeed.

Nobody is confused here of what they want of Anandi.

Lot of us want that Anandi, who is a financially capable woman should move out of her bal sasural and live an independent life of her own, give the kids their identity and their real family too, and once she has balanced that, she can look into third marriage / move-on if she so desires.

I want to see an Anandi who can make her own decisions and stand by them. I want to see a strong Anandi. Can makers give me one?

They did give me one a few years back. Her name was Anandi Singh. Despite her flaws, she made lot of sense in the way she handled her life. Then they took away, the strength and thinking abilities from Mrs. SRS, and left a confused woman behind.

Audiences are neither dumb nor confused. They know what to appreciate and what to question.

Anandi was never a perfect character.

It is the viewers who want her on a pedestal

She is someone who does what she believes to be right irrespective of what problems she faces while doing what she thinks is right.

She succeeds at times and at times not.

When she fails it is not because her intentions are wrong but circumstances.

Her social worK is an extention of her.

Through her the point they want to make is quite clear it is the intentions and perseverance that is required to bring about a change in the society and not just abilities

Bottom line it is doesn't take super heros to build a better society but ordinary people with courage to stand up for what they believe is right and people who are not afraid of failures.

Anandi cares for people around her tries to make a differnce in their lives butdoesn't give a damn about what people think about her because her heart is clean.

For 12 years Anandi barely seemed to miss Nandini or did anything substantial to find her daughter. She had quite moved-on. Moreover she is someone who seems to understand everyone in the world including the likes of DB or former DSa, but one night suddenly she gathers all her love Nimboli and no consideration for Mangala, that she slaps her?

She slapped her because she ran away with her daughter and then she started obstructing her from meeting her daughter. There is a limit for understanding with some woman who never wanted Anandi to meet her daughter.

Where was all this love when she foolishly took her daughter to a dangerous place or was happily moving on with her life? Very confused as far as her aims / goals and priorities are concerned.

She tried her best to find her daughter and then just hoped that she may meet her. What else can she do? She has to move on. It is reasonable to expect someone not to move on. She had two options. either not to move on and or move on and try to find on getting some clues which she was doing.

The same Anandi is against Bal Vivah, but can live in her Balak var's house permanently.

What is the connection between? She came on invitation and did not come of her own will. If she says that it is her Balak var's house, it would seem that she still thinks him as her balk var.

I see that If I try to respond to your answers in blue, we will end up in rounds and circles of defending or accusing Anandi. I don't want to get there again as I have done that enough. And nothing makes me change my stand either.

Your point was that audience is dumb and confused and my point is they are not. They have some set of expectations which are not being met and so they are raising it out. Or even if makers try to meet those expectations they do it out of context and it is not impactful.

If you think Anandi is not dumb or if you like her current story, good for you.

I find Anandi dumb / irritating and her story boring. I am happy that an article sharing my kinda views is out. I am also happy to know that apart from a minor section of net savvy viewers, there is another class of viewers who also bluntly accept that Anandi is dumb. This might force makers to think logically.

well industry tried level best to come up with shows having different subject but indian viewers love to watch these dumbo bahus so those show shut down in few months.

There are shows which dealt with emotional stuffs more sensibly than the rest but only the start was good, not the end! Our Indian t.v shows just don't know where to end!

Na Aaana Iss Desh Meri Laado just kept on going and going! It was strong

Balika Vadhu still goes on though sensibly they should have ended with Jagya-Ganga's marriage or at least with birth of AnSh's kids (with Shiv alive)! If the show still goes on it means it wasn't as much about bal vivah as it was about Anandi's life story!

Uttaran had pretty new ad good concept but everything changed when they grew up! It's like story writers got the chance to write rubbish just because adult actors have taken over the roles!

Diya and Bati Hum was about Sandhya's dream to become IPS! It's done so time to say goodbye! She has become an IPS, mother, good bahu, good wife and even got a sauten (husband's second wife)! Life could not have been better for her!

Nothing to say about Saathiya and YRKKH! Why they started and why do they still exist is beyond my thinking capabilities!

Current audiences are either too afraid to watch anything new considering how every show meets the same end or they cannot accept good shows for some unknown reasons!
The audience who loved shows before KSBKBT accepted dramas over controversial issues or loved good and sensible emotional dramas! We had amazing dramas and good comedy shows!
