I think it's necessary for someone to remind you that you not approving Aish's HW career isn't what you call "achievement" matters much.

I highly doubt what you think is gonna help or harm what she acheived.

Secondly, you probably forgetting the time difference, yes time plays a big part. That goes for everything.

West is way more accepting and open to change now as it was 10 years back, Obama is the current US president but then there was a time where black people weren't allowed to ride the bus or go to schools...those people fought for freedom, some rised above the difficulties and problems and achieved something...And it's probably do to that people like Obama have had a better future.

Now are you gonna go arnd and claim that what they did isn't achievement?? Since they didn't become presidents?? This is just an example.

What I'm trying to say is that it's wrong on your part to compare and declare that one is on top while the other achieved nothing.

Time played a big part and when you take that into account you'd see that Aish achieved on her own way, and trying to take that away from her is wrong cuz she didn't do as well as PeeCee is doing today.

3rd It's again so wrong on your part to try to put someone down to praise the other, you cld've done that without stepping on Aish.

4th Mind you, I'm NOT as Aish fan but that doesn't make me blind to what she acheived or didn't acheive.

And I also believe that one can be happy for PeeCee without trying to step on Aish, I'm very happy for PeeCee (again not my personal favorite) but that doesn't stop me from being happy for her, and why wld it?? So be happy for PeeCee, and praise her as much as you can but don't try to pull others down to do so, when you don't even need to given how well is Priyanka doing today.

P.S. This is just an opinion and I'm not questioning you, you can certainly spread as much negativity as you please.

I don't know abt others but I'm questioning the TM cuz.

One I don't go arnd an compare (I bash tho that i admit)

2nd Comparing BW career to another BW career and comparing an outside industry is definitely different to me.

If you comepare their BW career I wld probably agree that PeeCee is way ahead, if you compare talent, again you will have me on board.

But comparing HW is not right (IMO) they both tried and one might acheived more than the other.

Trying in itself is an achievement if you ask me, you can't discredit that.

Now if the people weren't as accepting then as they are now isn't her fault, now is it??

I stayed away from this thread because for me its absolutely irrefutable what Aish has achieved is greater than what Pee Cee has.

Because admirable as the fact is that Pee Cee lobbied for and got cast as Quantico lead...she still isnt as widely loved and looked upto as Ash.

I think Ashs miss world got more attention than Pee cees..which was not unanimously hailed.

Also Ashs Cannes outings, her films in the west..are still more known than what Pee Cee did for one serial. Her role in Quantico does not allow her variety to express..its the same thing over and over again and Pee Cee will try and branch out and look for roles in movies there as opposed to one role in a serial.

Ash has Bride and Prejudice, Provoked, Mistress of the Spices, Pink Panther...they are either good performing roles or big productions.

Maybe Pee Cee can overtake Ash in the future she is younger than Ash..lets see what what happens..

both ladies are awesome for putting India on the map.

but what may be achievement for you..might not be one for me or many others..if trying was the criteria to achieve..then i can say even uday chopra..tanisha and esha have acheived a lot

secondly lets agree to disagree. I guess we have always maintained a civil way to disagree on this forum and i don't think this thread would be any exception.

it really does take more than that to achieve in hollywood. It requires real talent and from what i've seen of Aish, her talent is questionable. Her star power, however, is not. But to have staying power at the box office, you do need more than just a pretty face.

Just because both started off with a beauty pageant, u can't compare the two together. In that sense, susmita sen lost out to both.. And so did dia mirza and the rest of the beauty queens India has.. Ultimately it boils down to how much passion u have to try out.. And Aish's dancing is amazing. And I like PC's acting. There is variety. No need to push down one to glorify the other. But good job to both for pushing the envelope.
