Was Deepika really 2015's Best Actress

So Award season is kinda over now and were onto the next season . What season that is I have no idea 😆😆. Deepika has practically won all the awards . Its like some vending machine broke open and shes running to grab all the the goodies . But was she the best actress of the year ?? Ther was Anushka Sharma . Tho I haven't seen her film so I won't vouch for her 😆😆 . There was that girl from DLKH who is actually pretty . That came as a shock to me too 😆. There's also Kangana I suppose . I guess maybe begrudgingly I have seen some talent in her . Damn I think hell froze over . But anyway I gotta be going now . Its winter . An we all know the best part of snow . Waiting for the schools to let out and start pelting 4th and 5th graders in the back of the head with snowballs 🤣🤣. Who knows maybe some of you have never seen snow but if you ever do now you know how to behave 😆😆. Hey now after Award season is sports season isn't it . ⭐️⭐️ An isn't Deepika into sports . You love how I tied that into one little perfect bow . Shabash for me 👏👏 Cause generally I just talk in circles

I thought Aish in Jazbaa is an underrated performance. She was marvelous.

Deepika was beautiful in Baijaro Mastani, but acting is average. 😉

A good test of who was really the Best Actress of the year, is the performance which stands the test of time. We certainly won't know it now... as we are all in a daze, biased etc...We will know it in a few years.

I'll say this... Datto is an iconic character and performance. It will age well. Even in Kangy's entire filmography people will remember her by this character and Rani in Queen. Hope she does more iconic roles in future: Julia, Simran and Rani Laxmi Bai. She has already established a VERY HIGH bar for herself.

All the ladies did well, regardless of who took the trophies home.

I think it is silly to pick any one performance of the year as the best, whether it is any Bollywood award or more creditable awards like the Oscars. There are so many good films, so many great performances each year.

Not just that, as ImagineMe said, we are all living in the moment and opinions on what constitutes a great performance keeps changing. It is my personal opinion that Deepika's acting in Bajirao Mastani was more suited to the period than Priyanka's, whose performance was great but whose body language was entirely of a modern woman's and seemed anachronistic to me. But that's personal opinion and not meant to diss Priyanka.

Also, different films get made in different circumstances. Sometimes performances that seem simple (only song and dance, only playing the heroine etc. ) may have taken as much sweat and effort as psychologically challenging and well-nuanced roles. Sometimes those efforts get overlooked because of the nature of the medium.

What I mean to say is that in an ideal world, there would not be a singling out of one performance but a celebration of all that was great in the year gone by. Where is that ideal world, I wonder?

Also, because people may want to link my opinions to my preferences, I should make it clear that I like Deepika. And Kangana. And Anushka. I like all women who do interesting work.

i was expecting whole heartedly for kangana's TWMR for best actress not the critics one!! deepika in piku is as normal as any other but DATTO was phenomenal !! she completly transformed her body language ,which is to be appreciated when compared to piku !!

chalo as someone said people remember kangana for her ROLE not for the awards they get !!

Everyone was good actress for their own roles in the movie. Nobody out stages anyone in their roles. Included Aish, Kajal, ayushman co star, little girl in BB, Kalki and more.
But, I think Deepika Piku won over others, because Piku was totally different genre compare to the other roles. Aish, Kangana, Kajol, Kalki, Anushka, DP Mastani roles almost same character, loud and rough character. But, Piku is a simple, sweet and real life. For me Piku very closed to modern & real life.

I think Neerja will get the same vibes in 2016 because that the real story and of course close to everyone.

Richa chadda in masaan was extraordinary,kalki was breathtaking in MWAS... So was bhumi pednekar...nd thn thr is kangana who deserves atleast 1 award for TWMR...deepika winning over these ladies didnt go down well with me..but if a certain sonam kapoor can get a FF nomination for DKD thn its fair deepu winning all awards

Yes mainly because she gave more good performances and films than Kangana. Did Kangana even have a film release other TWM?

Bu then Kangana's film made way more money than any of Deepika's film this year. So I don't know lol. Not to mention I loved Kangana in TWMR. I guess it isn't realy Kangana's fault for not having enough releases.

But if we go by popularity and likability than Deepika wins hands down!
