Another awesome update! I hope Arnav is able to meet and sort out the issue with Maya..after all she is human and is ought to feel upset about the new development directly involving her son.
Having said that I am not sure about how Manorama too will react to this new development...Arshi just have a lot of complications currently, but I hope they will sort it out and emerge victorious.

Just loved how Khushi was feeling when she saw Arnav and the kids together. The feeling of completeness which both of them are feeling at the moment is amazing to read.

I guess it's Manorama and nanthini... Mano is the one getting wired feelings when seeing Arnav and Khushi together... But she wished for a happy life for her girls right?

For me the highlight has been your writing for this update... damn SS you have surpassed yourself by pouring everything in this fine piece of art. It was brilliantly writing, one I was savoring each and every word totally pulled into the vortex of Second Chances. Take a bow and more for this Chapter 👏

"Through the blur, I wondered if I was alone or if other parents felt the same way I did - that everything involving our children was painful in some way. The emotions, whether they were joy, sorrow, love or pride, were so deep and sharp that in the end they left you raw, exposed and yes, in pain. The human heart was not designed to beat outside the human body and yet, each child represented just that - a parent's heart bared, beating forever outside its chest." - Debra Ginsberg

The above represents to me what we women go through in the so called journey of motherhood. Whether a mother immediately bonds with her child or not, it's all about the journey and what we make of it. I am firm believer there is no set definition of our role as a mother. We can choose to take a step back or fully embrace it for the best interest of the life brought into this world.

In Maya's case her disadvantage was her depression after Mohan's birth. But that doesn't mean she is a bad mother. It's what she has done after getting out of that depression to embrace her child wholeheartedly is what really matters. Her insecurities are valid, but she needs to realize Arnav would never allow her son to be taken away from her. The fact will always remain... she gave birth, therefore she is his mother.

Your Kailash is just too good to be true... what a supporting husband he has been to this broken woman. It's remarkable that a man like that exist.

Maya has been fortunate to have a great support system through all of this, first Arnav and now Kailash. I do hope she sees the positives of Khushi and Meera in her son's life soon, very soon to be able to forward.

A touching update that tugs at the heart!❤️

Mira, what a story teller you are.. stellar my friend .. I held my breath reading as I was transported into that room, where there was a myriad of emotions.. a heartbroken mother and a very caring observant husband - a good man - who felt hopeless..

Khailash reads her like a open book even though they been married only for a year.. he gave her the space she silently asked for.. but only enough for her to feel his love through their lovemaking.. and once again the gentle man asked what was on her mind..

I want to reach out and hug Maya tightly to let her know once a mother always a mother.. nothing or no one can take that away from you- Mohan will always be your son.. given space & time - he has so much more to give back than we will ever know ..

But isn't her reaction what anyone of us would feel.. As children grow they need us less. We want them to protect them until they are grown up, then they want to spread their wings and fly , which we will let them do too, but one thing they cannot stop us from doing always is loving them .. ..

Maya's second chance at happiness in marriage is successful - perhaps a second chance at motherhood is not far off with Mohan getting older.. and his endearing nuture of sharing he will share Maya Ma with Meera too.

Happy Makarsankrat/Pongal /Lohri to all those who are celebrating🥳
Mira, in this era of economical rollercoaster ride; deadlines, projects and realities are the bliss and one should not be sorry for not fulfilling the chote mote promises😊

Until today I was looking for your Arnav in real life but today you stumped me with Kailash😳 Is this man for real? Where are the basic characteristics of a man - possessiveness, ego, jealousy and the list is endless. We still don't know what was the real reason for the divorce yet this man is Maya's happily ever after in true sense. Its not easy to deal with a normal woman and this man is in love with a broken woman 👏 👏 and from where I see he is doing a great job of assuring her, loving her and most importantly understanding her and her silence. Not many can do.

Maya, she is a mystery to me. Despite being the doctor, I am surprised how broken she is. Whatever the reason may be however one would think that she has gone beyond a reasonable limit of depression, illness. Whatever the reason may be at the end she is a mother. A mother who due umpteen reason was not able to have a normal relation with her child and to make things worst the child himself was not normal.

I think its easy to say that she can let go of Arnav and his friendship but its difficult to witness it. If she was slightest disturb with what she saw under the table what must be Arnav's haal? For so many years he is witnessing her with Kailash and yet is not bothered. I am not sure if you are planning to write Arnav's haal - e - dil as a person/husband after the Maya left or they decided to apart but I am intrigued to witness it now. I am more intrigued to see how are they still friends? Is it just because of Mohan or is it due to some humane relation?

Maya as mother: Until today she was the mother of Mohan. But today she witnessed his son comfortable with some one other than her. May she saw him more happy then what he was with her. The fear of loss is the strongest feeling in the world. She can see herself losing hold on Mohan. That if they become a family she will not be able to visit them the way she is doing it now. That Arnav will not need her the way he is needing her now. There are so many unsaid things in her mind. I am glad that she could atleast voice out some of the fears.

I think her biggest fear is this quote:

That she will not make difference in Mohan's life.

This for sure is the most difficult part of your story so far. Its not easy to write it from the perspective of a broken woman and you my friend have done a fabulous job in writing those emotions and emoting it so well that even the person like me who hate to see a broken woman can empathize with her👏👏

MB, another wonderful update.

This update made me think a lot about divorces and its repercussions on motherhood.

It is usually said that a baby grows up in the womb listening to its mother's heart beats. And that is the reason as soon as it is born, doctors keep the baby close to mother's heart so that it recognises the familiar rhythm.

Even a baby as small as a week old recognises its mother's touch and not anyone elses. As soon as a crying baby is put on a mother's lap, it stops crying. It recognises the warmth of its mother. A mother child bonding starts even before they realise.

For Maya to not experience all of that must have been very tough on her.

And mothers who have children with special needs, trust me every step they feel, did I do something wrong during pregnancy or while raising the child that my child is like this today? Am I giving my 100 percent to make sure that he is getting the best? Is there any lacking in my attempts to make sure he has the best opportunities available? And Mira, you ask any such mother how much would she rate herself as a mother on a scale of 1 to 10, I can guarantee you that none would rate themselves more than 6.

If that is the way a mother feels in normal circumstances, then how should Maya feel?

She due to her own health issues could not take care of Mohan when he was little, and then she divorced Arnav and married Kailash.

Even though they share joint custody, Arnav is the primary provider for Mohan.
It is apparent in the story that Mohan is more attached to Arnav than Maya as he spends more time with Arnav.

Even little things like giving a bath, or feeding a child, taking care when the child is sick or just cuddling everyday for sometime brings a child much closer to its mother. In the initial years of life, a child is most attached to its mother.
But here, all the things which are normally done my a mother, Arnav is doing it.

Somewhere Maya has this guilt that she is not able to give her complete dedication and love to her child.

And now with the entry of Khushi and Meera, it is natural that Mohan's life is going to get shared with more number of people. Even the little time Maya gets with Mohan will be limited now.
And assuming that Arshi have more kids in the future, Arnav, Khushi, Meera and Mohan are going to get bonded more and more with each passing day.

Arnav is a good guy, he sincerely will try to keep Maya in Mohan's life, always, but somethings are beyond his control too.

Divorce does not happen just between couples, but divorce changes so many relationships associated with those two people.

How should Maya deal with this kind of heart ache? Live with it all her life, accept it as her fate or what???

Kailash's fears were understandable too. It must have been tormenting thinking that his wife has is not happy seeing her ex husband happy with another woman.
But now since he knows her real fears, how will he encourage her to come out it?

I remember, in one update of "Revealed", someone had commented that kids are like the glue which fill the gaps between a married couple. Should Kailash and Maya think of having their own child now? It is fair to think that Kailash should experience fatherhood too.
If Maya cannot conceive anymore, adoption might not be a bad idea.

Coming to Arshi, thrilled to read about their intertwined legs during dinner. So happy that Khushi is seeking Arnav's love more and more.

So did Manorama and Nandu bua not go to dinner with them?
