What am I missing here?

#1 she was never fat. She was chubby. Maybe 10-12kgs overweight.

#2 she was jobless. had nothing to do

#3 had access to top celebrity fitness trainers, dieticians, equipments, etc etc etc

#4 just had to control food and workout

All the magazines including herself sold it like she discovered cure for HIV.

Even rani had lost tremendous amount of weight for her that flop cricket movie.

I agree...she was never too fat to focus almost an year of her career just losing 7-8 kgs of flab...she was just bloated or may be chubby as you said. Her weight loss was just a huge PR exercise...ab kuch to bahana chahiye na to come in news.

If her weight loss story had been published in some medical books then it cld have been called as a big deal. But it has been published in mainstream BW magazines so I don't see any harm.

She is a BW actress and it definitely is an achievement in a business where physical appearance is given priority.

Everyone has a battle to win.

It is big for someone going thru it and small for others who are going through their own battle of sthelse. Matter of perspective. It is big for her and others thus celebration.Don't see any harm.
