Hello My Darlo's

How are you all? I am doing fine !! But yeah.. I am a bit guilty because of two things. I will tell you the first thing now.. And then will tell the other reason for my guilt later on...

So I am feeling guilty because I have been a really lethargic writer and have been late with my update!! I am so sorry for that !! I am just not able to focus myself !! Hope I can in the coming days !!

So here comes the 10th chapter of The Memory . I hope this chapter meets up to your expectations and your wishes. * Bites her nails*

I feel so stressed before uploading a new chapter. It feels as if all my energy gets sucked off !! * checks her pulse *

Okay so.. Let me stop my ranting and allow you to read the chapter...

" Roni " - A voice called out to him. And it had successfully penetrated into his helmet to reach his ears. By impulse Roni turned his head around, but by the time he could see the source of the call, Red was replaced by the colour green and horns were jammed by the drivers, as if they were playing a game of 'who presses the buzzer first' !

" Oh Crap..." Roni cursed as he accelerated his engine and started his journey yet again. Was it just his assumptions? Why did he feel as if someone called out to him?

He tried to look around as he took the right turn to KKN office but he couldn't spot the person who called out to him.

" You're thinking stuffs Roni beta" - He said to himself as he entered KKN office and drove to the parking lot.

Roni switched off the engine once he parked his bike. He took off his helmet and locked it and took his keys and made his way to KKN office.

He whistled his favourite bollywood song as he walked lethargically. Roni was just returning from meeting his mother. She had just arrived from her pilgrimage visit. He had to pick her up from the railway station.

" I don't know why Does she want to risk such long travels considering her poor health... Next time I am surely going to be stubborn..." - Roni thought to himself.

" Mom can't have her way always... What would happen if she becomes sick during such travels.. Her dear God won't come to her rescue!!..What will ..."

Bang!!

Roni bumped into the person who seemed to be in a hurry. He was almost thrown back due to the collision. " Woovh " - Roni exclaimed.

"Ouch.." - Manav said with pain.

He looked at Roni and remarked - Man... Roni... You seem to be in deep thoughts .. The collision was bang on !!.. Eh... Thinking about your lost love is it ??... Don't worry.. your in luck... It's obvious Kabir sahab isn't planning on returning anytime soon... "

Roni's eyes widened at the comment he just passed.

Manav gave a smirk as he straightened his shirt and put his hands in his pocket. He said raising an eyebrow - I am good at decoding thoughts... And I hit the jackpot didn't I ?... So how are you planning to convince Ananya?

Roni took in a deep breath. This Guy just knew how to instigate his worst emotions. He said slowly trying to keep his calm - Manav Sir... I can understand that your influence can be Infectious... But fortunately I turned out to be immune to 'The Manav Effect'... So I don't plot and plan like 'You' !!

Manav's smirk turned into a wide grin. He patted Roni and said - It takes efforts my boy... Everyone can't be unique can they?... If heartbreak is your choice.. Then luck to you !!

Roni gave a sarcastic smile.

Manav asked completely ignoring Roni's reaction -Anyways... Do you Know where is our beloved Business head?... She is definitely not in the office.. And I tried calling her but she isn't picking up my call... We have a conference to attend and it's already late... Well, she too turned out to be as irresponsible as her Ex Husband...

Manav gave a Chuckle and continued - Who knows ... She might be busy dealing with him right now !!

Roni's eyes widened. Manav chuckled further and said - It's called a joke young man!! ... Alright then... Hmm... Now it's my turn to take things under control.. Khalid has been drained by stress that he isn't knowing the difference between day and night... So.. I am going to the conference... If Shreya happens to reach, tell her to come immediately !!... Will you Roni?

Roni nodded his head. Manav Patted his shoulders again and said - Hope Kabir sahab doesn't return... That way we both will be benefited...

Roni narrowed his eyes. But before he could talk back. Manav laughed loudly and said - That was also a joke Roni!!... Did you forget to wake up your sense of humor today ??..

He laughed even more and said looking at his wrist watch - Phew... I better make a move !!.. Bye lover boy!!

And saying this Manav walked out of KKN office as he ran his fingers through his smooth hair.

Roni looked at the entrance through which Manav had just made his way out. He said out to himself - He is one hell of a Man!! ... He has to get an award for the worst possible jokes !! ... Funny my foot !! No wonder Kabir dislikes him...

The moment 'Kabir' left his mouth... Roni's face fell and a frown replaced the disgust Manav had just left on his face. He took a deep breath and thought - Where could he possibly be?... Who is behind all this ??

Roni walked towards the door and swiped his access card as he greeted the receptionist. His eyes immediately searched for Ananya. But her cubical was empty.

" She might be in his cabin" - He said to himself as he walked towards Kabir's cabin. But to his surprise Ananya wasn't there too.

Roni immediately took out his mobile from his pocket and tried calling her.

" Does she even bother to charge her phone?... Ananya how can you be so careless?... Where the hell are you?" - Roni said out as he heard 'The number your trying to call is currently switched off' over the phone.

He gave a sigh as he controlled his anger. Roni was getting frustrated due to what was currently happening in his friend's life. She didn't deserve this. The two of them didn't deserve this.. Kabir and Ananya were meant to be happy and look at what was happening to them.

Roni slowly walked towards his small workspace and placed his mobile on the table. He put his hands in his pockets and searched for his bike keys. But he couldn't find them.

Roni stiffened as he searched for his keys. Where could they have gone? He remembered taking it.. " Or did I forget it in my bike... Oh Roni.. The stress is making you forget trivial things..." Roni said to himself.

He slowly made his way towards the door and swiped the access card as he stepped outside. He quickly went to the parking lot and towards his bike. On the way he noticed that the security guards were nowhere to be seen. Roni mentally prayed that his bike wouldn't be a victim of theft...

The moment he reached the parking lot he left a sigh of relief because his bike was at the very spot he had left it. But to his surprise the keys weren't in his bike either.

" Where can it be ?" - Roni asked out as he researched his pockets for the 5th time.

Roni took in a deep breath and said to himself - " Just try to remember... Where..."

And that's when the memory struck him. He immediately shuck his head in realization and Roni Said out- Ya... Of course... When I bumped into our Splendid Manav Gupta ... I would have dropped it... I better check quickly...

Hence, Roni walked towards the main entrance and started scanning the floor in order to spot his lost bike keys. He knew that he would definitely find it. But deep down he was feeling a sense of uneasiness and nervousness. " Your taking things too seriously... " - He mumbled to himself.

Roni was getting impatient. He just couldn't spot his keys. His gaze was trying to be very careful in it's search but then his mind was getting so stressed up for no reason and his heart beats were increasing by the second.

And as he continued doing his search, his gaze fell on the receptionist and then suddenly he spotted his keys at the right corner of the marble floor.

But before he could go to take it he again looked at the receptionist to make sure he had seen her expression correctly.

Roni was taken aback by her expression. She had her eyes wide open and she was looking as if she had just seen a murder in front of her. Roni narrowed his eyes and asked slowly - Neelam... What's the...

But before he could question her a voice called out from behind.

Roni's temperature fell that very moment. He turned around slowly and his eyes widened.

Kurana sat in his police Jeep and almost shouted - Constable I want to reach KKN office before it's too late..

He took out his mobile and the first thing that Kurana did was call Ananya. But he frowned as he was enlightened that her mobile was switched off. " What's the use of owning phones when you keep them switched off at the most important times? " - He spat out.

The constable felt as if he was seeing a completely different version of Inspector Kurana. From the 3 years he had known his senior he had never seen him in such a bad mood. This case seemed to be his only focus for the past few days.

"Hello..." - Kurana said over the phone as he massaged his aching head.

"Constable Naresh.. It's me Kurana.. I need an arrest warrant issued immediately..."He continued hurriedly.

Kurana paused for a moment as his eyes showed the anger inside him. He said - " The warrant must be issued in the name of Shreya Baghat ... For abduction and utter inhumanity... " - Kurana scowled.

He said - " I want a non bail-able warrant... And I want it to reach me by the time I reach KKN office at North delhi... Tell someone to bring it to KKN within an hour .. I will reach there by then... "

Kurana stopped massaging his temple and said- " I don't want any sort of delay Naresh... Be quick !!"

And with that he disconnected the call.

Kurana could feel the anger inside him. How did he not guess all this in the first place?... Shreya was the most potent person to have carried it out.. And he never even considered her..

Would she go to the extent of Killing Kabir?... She can... Well, she did not flinch from abducting her Ex husband... But where could she possibly have kept Kabir ...?.. And what is she doing to him?... And why?...

Kurana nodded his head and said out - "I don't have time to think what would have been her motive.. I must try to reach Kabir as soon as I can... "

The Constable stole a glace of his Senior who was now scrolling impatiently through him mobile.

" Ah... "- Kurana exclaimed as he clicked the call button and Said- " Hope this guy picks up the call..."

After a few seconds Kurana said over the phone - " Hello ... Mr.Kalindh.. This is Inspector Kurana.."

" I Know Kabir is here ... I Know it" Ananya whispered.

She took in another deep breath and unlatched the door and slowly opened it. Her heart was by now drumming throughout her body. She stepped inside the room. And her eyes widened immediately.

She rushed inside and looked at the empty bed. Tears left her eyes like a water fall. She touched the bed and cried out - Oh my god... Kabir...

She looked at the table nearby and noticed a newspaper on the table. She took it in her hand and looked at it. And Ananya's eyes widened. She wiped her tears to look at it clearly.

" Oh... God..." - Ananya chocked. Her chest was raising up and down due to the short breaths she was taking. " She ... She ... Made him believe that... He... He ...killed me?...Oh... God... Kabir..."

Suddenly Ananya heard a sound from behind.

"Well.. Well look who has managed to find her way to her fiancee "

Ananya was so startled by the voice that she shivered. But soon enough her body heated up and she fisted her hand as she turned around and said out - " Shreya... you low life...I...AHHH..."

And all of a sudden Ananya saw a flash and her head felt like it was torn apart. She immediately touched her head and screamed due to the pain.

Shreya dropped the heavy copper vase that she had used to hit Ananya and said out panting - " Is it paining Ananya?? Eh? Oh my god!!..." And she tried to touch Ananya.

Ananya was shivering with pain. She was feeling as if she would blank out the any moment. She started to take steps away from Shreya and screamed - " Stay...stay away...ah..."

Shreya was looking at Ananya who was holding her forehead with her trembling hands and blood was slowly oozing from the wound she had just imposed on her. Ananya was now leaning against the wall and screaming due to the pain. Shreya said - " Oh God ... it's paining isn't it ?... I am so sorry Ananya... I never wanted to do this to you..."

She narrowed her eyes and shouted at Ananya who was now on her knees screaming and crying due to the pain - Well... This was the same way I felt ... do you have the slightest idea how it pained when I had to look at the both of you happy??? EH??? It pained !!! IT PAINED !!... "

Shreya stepped forward and bent down and held Ananya's shoulders and shuck them. She shouted - Now it's your time to suffer Ananya !! YOU WILL SUFFER !!!"

Shreya shook Ananya' shoulder even more but by now Ananya had stopped screaming. Tears were leaving her eyes and she was trembling ... But her body was giving up and her eyes were shutting by themselves,

" Look at me !!! LOOK AT ME !!! " - Shreya Screamed As she shuck Ananya.

But Ananya didn't respond. Her eyes closed shut and she dropped to the floor as she called out in almost a whisper - " Kabir..."

Khalid Drank some water swiftly. His head was aching due to stress. He quickly searched for a tablet in the drawer that could ease his headache. He took one pill and put it in his mouth as he drank more water.

He placed both his hands on his forehead and said to himself - "Your time has come Khalid... You're going to bid farewell to the world !!! I am clueless... just clueless about what's going to happen !!...Kabir is missing .. who knows even if he is alive... and Shreya, that good for nothing Mother of Attitude suddenly goes off to do her own work without giving the slightest notification... Well... Manav is right ..KKN Has turned out to become a family drama !!... "

He took a deep breath and continued his self talk - " Now.. I just hope Manav doesn't make a fool of himself in the conference !! If He does.. Then I'm surely going to Kill every single staff of KKN and commit Suicide !! "

Khalid paused for a second and burst out laughing. He said out in between his laugh - "It's only been three days since I have been dealing that stupid Woman !! And look what has happened to me ?? I have lost my senses !!! Poor Kabir !! ..."

Khalid stopped his laughter and sat up straight. He furrowed his eyebrows and thought - " But what is it that is keeping her busy?? From the moment Kabir goes missing Shreya seems to be very busy !!... What is she up to... can it be..."

Khalid was startled when he heard his phone chirping and vibrating.

He looked at his mobile which was on the table. He took it and thought -" Inspector Kurana ??... God Please show some mercy.. or I am sure I will reach you in a few days !!! "

Saying so Khalid Attended the call with a - Hello...

" Hello.. Mr.Khalid .. This is Inspector Kurana... "- Khalid heard over this phone.

Khalid nodded his head and said as he crossed his fingers mentally - "Yes.. Good evening Inspector... Ananya had informed me this morning about how you suspect Kabir has been abducted...Have you found something regarding it ?"

Khalid heard Kurana take a deep breath. After a second the inspector said in a low voice - " Mr.Khalid.. I really don't know if this a good news or a bad one... but it really took me unguarded !!"

Khalid cursed under his breath - " I better start preparing my will..."

Khurana continued slowly- " I was able to track down the person behind Kabir's Abduction "

Khalid almost jerked up. He exclaimed into his phone- " What?? Are you serious Inspector ??... This is an absolutely great news !!"

Khurana replied - " Yes.. it is great news Mr.Khalid .. but you won't feel very happy if you know who is behind this..."

Khalid raised his eyebrows and asked - "What do you mean Inspector?"

He heard the Inspector reply - " Shreya Baghat The Business head of KKN and Kabir Sharma's Ex Wife is the master mind behind this.."

"What ???" - Khalid almost shouted .

" Yes .. you heard me right... Shreya is the one who has abducted Kabir... I will be reaching KKN in 45 minutes or latest by an hour.. And the moment I reach I will arrest her.. we don't know what is Kabir's condition and the sooner we find out where she has kept him the better it is.. we can't afford to lose Kabir Sharma..."- Khurana said.

The inspector waited for Khalid to comment. But it felt like Khalid had gone on a mute mood. Kurana continued slowly - "We must be quick... Because from what I know, apart from kidnapping Kabir from his car she hasn't employed anyone... so it means she is dealing with him single handedly... And Kabir should have reacted by now and escaped if he had known Shreya was behind this...But he hasn't.. which means something has happened to him...So, Mr.Kahlid I want you to hold on to Shreya.. and don't allow her to leave the office...at any cause... "

"But... She left... I mean... she went off somewhere... "- Khalid could hear himself say out.

'How could she do such a thing and walk about so calmly... OH MY GOD !!... I should have listened to Kabir when he had protested against working with her... What have I done ??... I cannot forgive myself If something happens to Kabir... "- Khalid's head was going mad due to his thoughts.

"Mr.Khalid... MR.KHALID... "- Kurana almost shouted.

Khalid jerked out of his thoughts and said - " eh... yes Inspector.."

Kurana took another deep breath and asked- " I was asking if you know where we can find her?"

Khalid placed his hand on his forehead and said - " No inspector... But... I am sure She will come back to KKN... this is how she is from the past 3days.. she will go off suddenly and will return in an hour... But I am promising you.. The moment she steps foot in KKN , I will not allow her to leave until you reach ..."

" Hope she does... And please inform me once she reaches Mr.Khalidh.. our prime importance is to find Kabir... Until she has Kabir we can't take chances with her... " - Kurana said.

Khalidh nodded his head and said - " Yes.. absolutely Inspector... I will do my best to keep her under dark ... but please try to reach fast..."

Kurana agreed and disconnected the call.

Khalidh was so furious that he could feel heat leaving his body. He stood up and placed his hands on the table and took a deep breath. He said out - "Shreya... you're going to regret doing this... "

"Roni..."

Roni's temperature fell that very moment. He turned around slowly and his eyes widened. His heart was beating so fast. He could only manage to whisper out - "Kabir Sir..."

Was it true or was he dreaming. Right in front of him was Kabir standing there as if he would faint any second. He looked so weak and pale.. it was as if he hadn't eaten for days. His eyes lacked its usual shine and they had black circles under them. A look at Kabir's eyes made Roni shiver. The man was stooped low and was bare foot and looked so dirty.

"Roni..." - Kabir called out again as he stumbled towards him.

Roni immediately ran towards Kabir and held him from falling down. He was too overwhelmed by what was happening. He managed to ask - "Sir... Kabir sir... How are you... Where were you... ?"

Kabir could feel his heart drumming throughout his body. He never thought he could make it to KKN.. It was just his willpower that brought him here. His body was aching like hell. And he could barely breath. He knew he would lose his consciousness any second... But then he just couldn't ... He had to make sure if he had really killed Ananya. He tried looking at Roni. But he could only see him in a blur... And he knew Roni was saying something to him but he couldn't hear what it was. His head was aching so badly.. He felt so weak...

Kabir kept looking at Roni. He tried to listen to what Roni was saying .. But he just couldn't.. He said again- " Roni..." As he held on to the guy.

Kabir blinked his eyes and tried to look at Roni clearly. That expression Roni had on his face made Kabir even more weak. There was so much fear in Roni's eyes. It was as if the unexpected had happened. So it was true... What Shreya had said was true...

Roni tried to shake Kabir out of this world. He was so scared and frightened that he might lose Kabir ... He shouted again - " Kabir Sir... Are you alright!?? ... Sir ??... What happened to you... Who did this to you??"

" Roni... I... Promise... I didn't mean to harm Ananya... I love her... What happened 3 years ago was a big mistake... I never wanted to harm her.. "- Kabir said as he tightened his grip on Roni's hands and looked at him with his weak eyes.

Roni was shocked. He just looked at Kabir who was struggling to stand on his two feet .

" Please... I never meant that ..."- Kabir said slowly as his eyes started turning red.

" What?... 3 years ago?... What are you saying sir?..." - Roni asked with widened eyes. Why would Kabir sir ever want to harm Ananya... What was he saying...

Kabir looked at the shocked Roni and said as he took quick breaths - " I know what I have done is completely unforgivable... I can't forgive myself... Thats why I have come to turn myself to the police... If I deserve any place .. Then it's prison..."

What is Kabir saying ? Roni held on to Kabir and asked - "Sir... What are you saying... Why should you turn yourself to the police?... What did you do?... "

Kabir kept blabbering... As if he couldn't hear what Roni was saying - " I am the worst person to live... How could I ever do such a thing?... I deserve only prison... She is wrong... I don't deserve another chance... "

Saying this Kabir lost his balance and kneeled down. Roni tried to hold on to him but was in vain. He looked up at the receptionist who was just looking at them as if they were enacting a scene. Roni said as he tried to make Kabir to stand up- "Kabir sir... What has happened.. Why are you saying all this...?"

Kabir just looked at his own hands. Roni's eyes widened as he saw Kabir's right hand . His veins were visible and there were blood clots everywhere... What did they do to Kabir ?

Kabir said out as he looked at his hands - " I killed her... I killed my Ananya... 3 years ago I Killed my Ananya with my bare hands .. I don't deserve to live... I just don't..."

"What??" - Roni almost shouted. 3 years ago Kabir hardly knew Ananya... What nonsense was this man blabbering?...

Roni had enough. He hadn't seen Kabir like this ever before. Kabir was known for his calm and cool behaviour. But the Kabir Roni was seeing right before him was breaking down and talking nonsense. What had happened to him?... Who made him like this ??...

Roni held Kabir's shoulder and said shaking him out of his world. He said making Kabir look at him - " Kabir sir !!.. Look at me !! What are you saying ?? 3 years ago you weren't the Editor of KKN .. Three years ago you never knew Ananya... Then how can you kill her???... Tell me ??... What has happened to you??"

" What ?" - Kabir whispered as he heard what Roni said. Till now he was trying to shut away what Roni said because he was scared that Roni would accuse him. But then what was he saying now ?

Roni shuck his head and took a deep breath. He was glad that atleast now Kabir was listening to him. He said - " Yes!!... Why would you kill Ananya... Ananya loves you.. You love Ananya... Ananya is alive... You never killed her... And you can never harm her... She is waiting for you for the last 3 days ... "

Kabir's eyes widened. He asked slowly -" An... Ananya is alive...?... 3 days..?..."

Roni looked into Kabir's eyes that was wide open due to the shock . Roni felt his throat tighten. He could see so much pain in Kabir's eyes... It felt as if he was regretting so much... "What made him think that he had killed Ananya?"- Roni thought as he saw the pain slowly disappear from Kabir's eyes.

He said reassuringly - "Yes Kabir sir.. Ananya is alive... Three days ago you went missing ... And we came to know you were kidnaped only yesterday night when the police spotted your abandoned car in the forest.. Where were you?... Who had abducted you sir?... "

Kabir just sat down on the floor. It felt as if time had completely frozen.

"Three years Kabir... Three years you were in coma... They told you will never wake up..."

"You were so Angry !! She leaked the news you found isn't it? "

"3 years ago you slapped Ananya and left her and ran away... The moment you slapped her .. She died... Ananya is dead Kabir..."

"That slap ... I still remember it... We all were so shocked ...It's sound was heard so loudly..."

"" Ananya just fell down.. Her head hit the table... And you just walked out of the cabin as if nothing happened..."

"Kabir... It's true, Ananya is dead...and You were the reason for her death... Don't you remember?"

"We all rushed to Ananya... We found her on the floor ... And it was that guy... Roni who checked her pulse... But... Her heart had stopped Kabir... It had stopped forever !!"

"You were driving like crazy. And all of a sudden, you crashed into a lorry"

"I immediately came to you and you were bleeding profoundly. With so much effort I took you in my car and brought you to my house."

"We couldn't save you completely.. You had slipped into coma and the doctor told you would never wake up.. But I had faith... I knew you would survive..."

"Every one at KKN were an eye witness that you killed Ananya... Kabir you couldn't be saved... Even Ananya's mother made a press statement that she had made the biggest mistake by accepting her daughter's relationship with you..."

"Complete Delhi protested against KKN and Ultimately KKN was shut down within a month ... Everything .. Everything is gone Kabir... Ananya's mother and brother left Delhi.. I don't know where they are now... Ananya's friends kept fighting for justice. Because you couldn't be traced the court couldn't do anything at all...And I had to keep you hidden in my house... I couldn't shift you to another place too because you had become a most wanted person... "

" When you wake up... Your not trusting me... Don't I deserve another chance Kabir ?? "

" Shreya ... That bitch ... She lied to me ..."- Kabir said out as he fisted his hands.

Shreya quickly searched through Ananyas's camel bagpack. But her trembling hands made the process even more difficult. She was keeping an eye on Ananya who was on the floor unconscious.

Shreya cursed as her hands were shaking like hell. She said out - "Oh come on Shreya !! Calm down.. Nothing is going to happen... I have to make sure this fool isn't carrying any tracker... Or else I will get caught... "

After a few minutes Shreya dropped Ananya's bag on the floor and looked at the unconscious Ananya. Her head was swollen and blood was coming slowly out of the wound. A smirk was seen in Shreya's face as she said - " Well.. This was not what I had planned for... If only Kabir was a good boy and had stayed here... Now see what he has done... "

She kneeled down and touched Ananya's cheeks and said - "I know I will be thrown behind bars.. But I will make sure that you never see your love ever again Kabir!!.. If I can't get you... Then you can't get Ananya too... I will make you regret having left this place... If only you had listened... But then you didn't... And I am going to make you regret !!.. Ananya will die due to the lack of treatment.. And you can't do anything about it...You will never find her..."

Shreya stood up and took Ananya's Bag in her hand and said out - " And I know exactly where to hide her... "

Authors' Note - Okay so before you start asking me questions as to how Kabir reached KKN .. Just hear me out.

Ya so this is my second reason for feeling guilty... I wanted to confuse you guys with the time period when Kabir tries to make an escape. Remember Shreya had given him the soup without the drug..? Right after that.. Kabir wakes up from his nap and carries out his escape.

And since he is weak and the previous drugs haven't been detoxified it takes him longer than he thought. ( And to add up he had to go bare foot... Poor thing )

So at the time Ananya realizes that Shreya is behind this and Shreya realizes that she forgot to drug Kabir.. He had made his escape. Hence, when Ananya reached Shreya's home.. Even Shreya reached there..( Sparing a few minutes..) And both couldn't find Kabir there.
