Not happy nor excited over the upcoming negativity in swasan's marriage.
An alternative OS towards Swasan remarriage. Filled with positivity. Hope you guys like it.
Continuing as per the show... Scene starts with Kavita running up the stairs and hugs Sanskar😡
Sanskar stares in confusion as he sees the woman he thought dead... Who was once the love of his life... Race towards him, hugging him tight. Automatically his arms go around her, hugging her back... Momentarily taken back in time... filled with warmth and happiness that she is alive and well... Curious to know what... When... How... The woman he loves, still loves... Here in his arms.
Hearing Kavita talk about their past like it was present... His gaze automatically falls on his wife, searching, her eyes filled with unshed tears as she watches the scene unfold in front of her. Reading the disbelief in her eyes... The stricken look filled in her gaze, understanding their situation as her mangalsutra falls off her hand unnoticed, he feels a sharp pain in his heart as fear and panic takes over that he will lose her forever.
Sanskar slowly straightens his arms, his gaze still trained at his wife, watching her take a step back, his heart automatically cries out, "no... No, don't... Don't step away from us..." His memory rushes back to the recorded message she had left him just days ago. The words I LOVE YOU chanting away in his mind.
Reading the acceptance of their situation in her gaze, the sacrificial look in her gaze... Sanskar snaps back in to the present... Hearing Kavita state how amazed she was with his wife's attitude that she would help someone who was not family. His heart wants to cry out, "don't you dare sacrifice us... Tell her you are my wife." He freezes, stunned as he realises that even though Kavita, his lost love was here... All he cared about was Swara and her love... That she lived in his hear, his soul. He looks at her with love, his gaze silently urging her to tell Kavita who she was to him.
He waits several seconds... Seconds that felt like eternity... His wife remains silent... He calls out, "she is my wife." Oblivious to kaviya's reaction, his eyes trained on his wife, filled with determination, certainity, love, he walks down the stairs towards her, repeating, "she is my wife."
Sanskar stops in front of her, picks the fallen mangalsutra... Ignoring the vulnerability, the confusion he reads in her eyes, he ties the managalsutra around her neck. Relief pours into his every fibre, thankful that she did not stop him. "Note to self, keep her off balance and do the unexpected... Enough self sacrificing." Placing his arm around her waist, he looks at Kavita with compassion, and says politely, "Kavita, meet my wife, Swara."
Swara stares at Sanskar, too shocked to react, still reeling from the impact of him tying her mangalsutra around her neck and now this... His arm resting on her waist. Sanskar looks down at Swara, smiles and says, "Swara, meet my college friend, Kavita." Like a puppet, her mind num, Swara turns to Kavita, smiles and says a polite hello.
Kavita watches all this, the happiness she knew moments ago when she thought she had found her lost love gives way to an ache in her heart as she reads the love her Sanskar has for his wife. She tries to smile back, to say something, but is unable to. All she can think is, "he has moved on..." Seeing his arm draped around a waist that was not her, her heart cries out, "He is no longer mine." Wanting to cry out over the unfairness over the cards life dealt her, Kavita instead takes a deep breath to compose herself, "you will not cry... You are strong... You... I love him... I have always loved him..."
Sanskar falters momentarily as he reads the pain in Kavita's eyes, a person he still had affection and care for, only now it was different. It was no longer that of a lover, but that of a friend. He says, "come meet my family."
Standing at the entrance of the house, Kavita looks at Sanskar with sad eyes, she says quietly, "you have moved on... You love your wife." Sanskar looks at Kavita with guilt, a sense of betrayal takes over. Smiling, Kavita says, "don't feel guilty. I don't blame you. I would have done the same. I am just happy that you are happy... That you found love again." Laughs lightly and continues teasingly, "it gives me hope, that one day I too will fall in love again."
Feeling light, free, Sanskar bursts out laughing, pulls Kavita into a hug and says, "I will always love you." Breaking the hug, holding her hands in his, he adds softly, "thank you."
Seeing Sanskar and Kavita, Swara smiles to herself as she walks towards them. Her steps falter as she hears Sanskar tell Kavita... I will always love you. Ragini who was a few steps behind her, walks up to her, stops by her side, a smirk on her face, says, "first love never dies." Satisfaction oozing from her, Ragini watches the light of certainity fade from her sister's eyes.
*************************
His happiness knowing no bounds Sanskar races up the stairs to his room, smiling as he tells himself, "she has to tell me that she loves me."
Staring out of their bedroom window, lost in thought, Swara replays the incident in her minds eye. Doubts start pouring in... Sanskar has always loved Kavita... He has never forgotten her or his love for her... He had gone against his family for her... Let his family think he was dead, just so that he could avenge her death... Now that Kavita is back... Could he really have moved on?... Does he really love me?... Does he really want to be with me?...
Turning around, swara's gaze falls on the tape recorder by the bedside table... recalling the message she had left him, she wonders, "does Sanskar feel beholden to me... Duty bound to stay in this marriage..." A tear escapes from her eye as she cries out in anguish, "oh, how I wish I never told him that I loved him... Oh, how I wish he didn't have to choose me out of sense of duty..." As ragini's words come back to haunt, "first love never dies."
Her heart complains, "i have moved on... So why can't Sanskar. After everything Sanskar and I have gone through, my love for Sanskar is stronger and deeper than before... Maybe Sanskar feels the same." Hopeful, Swara walks up to the family portrait handing on the bedroom wall. With a smile she raises her hand towards the photo frame to caress his face and whispers in earnest, "please let it be me in your heart."
Displacing the photo frame as she caresses sanskar's pictures, Swara rushes forward in the hope to catch the photo frame. A loud crash is heard, "damn it," she curses silently as she crouches and carefully removes the picture from the broken glass and photo frame.
Holding the family portrait in her hands, her eyes automatically reach for sanskar's picture, she says affectionately, "I love you very very much." Placing the picture on the bed, she bends down to pick the broken shards of glass. She stops mid way, her heart piercing with agony as she stares numbly at a picture Sanskar kept hidden. With trembling hands she picks the picture carefully, recollecting the words Sanskar had told her when she had first admired the family portrait... My heart resides in this photo frame.
Placing kavita's photograph carefully on the bed, besides the Maheshwari family portrait, recalling Sanskaar's last words to Kavita... I will always love you. Swara wipes her tears, giving a weak smile as she looks at kavita's picture, says, "I am sorry to have taken your place... I will correct this." She turns her gaze to Sanskaar's picture, caressing it slowly, says, "I want you to be happy always... And I know Kavita is your happiness... Your love."
Sanskaar walks into his room excited, happy that at last they were on the same page... The words I love you, ringing in his ears. "She will never leave me now... She is mine... Just as I am hers," Sanskaar thinks smilingly. His smile falters as he stares at the photographs on the bed, his heart beats loudly as the feeling of dread seeps in. "Damn," he mutters as he races out of the room and down the stairs.
*****************************
The Maheshwari family stare at Swara, stumped that she wants to leave. Mentally scratching his head, Durga Prasad asks, "Swara you did not want the divorce... You came back..." Swara interrupts him, "badi bapa, that was before Kavita. Sanskaar has the chance toget back with the woman he loves... Whom he loved dearly... I don't want to come in between his love and happiness... Circumstances led to our marriage... We did not marry..." She stops, unable to complete her sentence, her heart refused to voice out that they did not marry for love.
Annoyed at her self sacrificing habit, Laksh calls out, "you know that Sanskar loves you and yet you are choosing to leave him." Recalling the hidden picture in the photo frame, Swara gives them all a bravesmile as she parrots ragini's earlier words, "first love never dies."
Seeing the doubt on everyone's faces, she continues reassuringly, "Sanskar will be happy with Kavita. We saw how much she still loves him and he went against his family for his love. This is true love."
Ragini, happy that Swara has decided to leave, adds, "she is right. One can never forget their first love. Sanskar only had feelings for Swara because he thought Kavita had passed on... And now that Kavita is alive, it is obvious that his feelings and love for her will be deeper. It is best that swara leave with her respect intact."
Laksh looks at her with annoyance, says, "Ragini if that is the case, then you too can leave because from your explanation, I will never love anyone but Swara. You are wasting your time in this marriage."
Ragini wants to refute, but instead looks at Laksh helplessly.
Angry, frustrated, Sanskar can't believe the nonsense sprouting out of Swara... that she could so easily remove him from her life, he says is a cold, soft voice, "wow, no goodbyes this time." Swara and the family turn towards him and stare at him silently, everybody stumped at what to do or say.
Sanskar continues down the stairs slowly, his gaze trained at Swara, he continues, "you came here for the family and when everything was sorted you chose to leave... You stayed on for the family d once again when everything was sorted you chose to leave... This time you claimed you came for me, for our love and now you are choosing to leave for me, for my love."
His gaze filled with hurt, he continues, "when I wanted you to stay back, you insisted on leaving... When I wanted you to leave, you insisted on staying... Insisted on coming back... For us."
He stops several paces away from her says angrily, "all through our marriage you have always made decisions on assumptions... Swara knows best!"
Forcing calmness he doesn't feel, he continues,
"First assumption, my falling in love with you is wrong. How dare Sanskar Maheshwari fall in love with Swara Bhosle!"
"Second assumption, my wanting us to stay married is wrong. How dare Sanskar see his friend, confidant as a wife. How dare he see a future together, filled with love, loyalty, trust."
His voice filled with hurt is reeling in, the sense of betrayal, he says softly, "you never thought to ask me what I am feeling... What I want... Bas you just went ahead and assumed you know what I am feeling, what I want. Why Swara? Does my opinion not count? Do my wants and desires not count? Am i always absolute in this relationship?"
Grabbing her arm, he pulls her towards him, and says furiously, "I don't do assumptions... So I shall ask you... What did you mean by 'first love never dies'?"
Meeting silence, he continues bitingly, wanting her to understand the absurdity of the statement, "are you trying to tell me that you will never love anyone other than Laksh?"
Annapurna admonishes, "Sanskar!" Ignoring his badi maa, he continues, "are you telling me that you will never be able to move on? That you will never come to love me?"
He release his hold on her and says calmly, "Swara, know this... If you leave me this time, you will never come back into my life," turns and races up the stairs.
Sanskar stops mid way, turns and says, "Kavita is my past. You are my present. I leave it to you to decide if you will be my future." With that Sanskar continues up the stairs to their room. His heart and mind anxious over the gamble he had played... Was he going to lose Swara?
making you mine 2 There have been several requests to continue with the OS. I don't want to make it a SS or FF hence will make a series of OS which can be read together or as a stand alone.
