When she didn't receive any support from the those physically available there, she called Lord Krishna for help but still she was conscious of her cloths and didn't give in to her faith in her brother (Lord Krishna) completely, she didn't get any help. Only when she became totally desperate and help up her hands and called for him, he was there to save her. that means unless we believe in god and his presence completely and have faith that he will help us and save us and there is no need for us to clung on to our destiny, the God will not come to us to help.

For Draupadi, Lord Krishna, her brother was readily available to help her while for Ahalya, Ram had to born and come to save her.
That is one reason (they both gave away their awkward feelings and believed in God and also never sinned, they are still remembered as kanyas (among pancha kanyas) and if we remember them daily all our sins will be washed out.

I agree jaya. Draupadi also went through all troubles but the time of help was quite fast as compared to ahalya's time span. Yes, both are among pancha kanyas but I feel something more to it. Though I am not sure, can you tell me about their previous birth incident something which may be the reason.

Ramya, though the time span was shorter for Draupadi, the pain was much more than Ahalya's as she was victimized in public assembly full of male. When good people were ashamed and down casted their heads in shame for not able to watch her in that condition, evil were enjoying her plight. Even as a shrapit lady, Ahalya was not to face any male gathering around her to tease her while Draupadi had to face it alive and with all sense. Despite having 5 brave and able husbands, she had none to save her expect Lord Krishna and that too when she had to cry for his help forgetting her plight.
I am not sure about Ahalya's previous birth but Draupadi was a Rishi patni in her previous birth and since she served her husband with upmost care and love and looked after him as he is her god, (he was suffering from leprosy) and to test her devotion, once he makes one of his finger fall into the food and while eating the food, she gets that and without any hesitation, she consumed that. pleased with devotion, he ask her to wish for something and he will grant that. So in return she asked him for a husband as truthful as him, as strong & heavy built as him, as sharp as him, as wise as him and as concerned as him in her next birth. At that moment the Rishi tells her that it is not possible to have all those Gunas (ability or characters) in a single person and so he blesses her to have five husbands in her future birth.

@bold: Satisfying reply Jaya. Thank u.
I heard the story of Draupadi as rishi patni who was a shiv bhakth. When she asked for the boon from Lord Siva, she mentioned five qualities of a man separately and siva granted the same saying that she will have five husbands one soul with those qualities in next birth. This story is new for me. Rishi testing his wife is somewhat I feel bad about it.

But again I don't know about Ahalya's previous birth.

I am sure if without meeting each other we can feel their emotions for each other so strongly, Rama Sita scenes together will be beautiful too.

While this show keeps showing Rishi Gautamas repentance, I still feel that it was grossly unfair to Ahilya, she was a victim twice over, by her paramour and her husband, her punishment was unduly harsh, while the two men, who were the really guilty ones, got off Scot free...

Lovely thoughts, Shruthi and Arshics. 👏

I had long forgotten the reason for Ahalya's shraap actually.
I guess Rishi Gautam's repentant heart and his separation from both his son and wife, and his constant regrets were the price he had to pay.
And I hadn't known Indra was cursed to become a napumsak!- Such an apt punishment, I felt.
