Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone
According to a leading tabloid, Ranbir Kapoor
has returned Rs. 10 crore to the producers of
Tamasha, UTV and Sajid Nadiadwala. According
to the trade pundits, Tamasha was sold to the
distributors at a very high price due to the golden
pairing of Deepika and Ranbir, but that made the movie a risky product. Even though the film received a lot of critical acclaim, it didn't earn the kind of money expected of it, making it an average grosser'. To make the movie more viable for the producers, rumours are rife that Ranbir has returned a substantial amount' which is apparently Rs 10 crores while Deepika Padukone has returned Rs 5 crores so that the distributors don't suffer very high losses. I agree I dnt get why he isn't lowering his fees for movies that was risky. 1st bv and then tamasha. Both wnt your normal run of the mill movies. They were low budget movies he shouldn't be charging so much at all

Saara amount toh Ranbir kha Gaya... Dips hardly gets anything in comparison...

Returning measly 25% as opposed to the 80% dp returned ain't gonna cut it. He needs to understand to keep his budget within 30c to see profits and slowly build up.

So much for a young superstar who was ahead of other youngsters.

First Anushka n now Deepika for BV n Tamasha respectively. Both got nothing whereas Ranbir took all money which in first place he is not even liable to get that much amt at present. And juat returned only 10 crs. 🤢
