I dont think so. Simply because if she would have been a threat, they wont have cast her. They probably needed a show piece only. As I said may be Firdaus had to be this larger than life girl but she needed to be below ARK in terms of acting because this film seems mainly about Noor afterall. His obsession, his love and his fight. I think the younger lot like Alia,Shradha,Kirti, Pari would have looked stunning with ARK and surely must have acted well too but then the larger than life persona wont be achieved. And if they took someone like Priyanka,Kangana or Deepu, the heroine would have eaten all the attention. So they didnt need a PC or a Kangy. Apart from Kat, Anushka might have filled the space pretty well IMO...she is a stunner as well as a very natural actor.

Estella is supposed to be cold and unemotive. Katrina seems to fit the bill for me.

Great Expectations is about Pip and Miss Havisham. It is abouts Pip's obsessive love of Estella and his desire to become worthy of her love. It is about Miss Havisham's broken relationship and picking Pip as a target for retribution. Estella has is a very pivotal character in the story, but she does not require anything extravagant. Most Great Expectations adaptations always have focused on casting Pip and Havisham.

True and I think it will be the case here too. Katrina shot the least for the movie. And Begum's role was further increased when Tabu was brought on board.

Also as you said, Estella is cold and doesn't express much emotions, feelings; if any at all. Katrina did a decent enough job on that front; judging by the trailer.

What did you make of the trailer and the way they are going about the story; setting in a modern day Kashmir?
