Sorry folks for being gayab last weekend. Things have gotten hectic. Checking out rooms, looking at campus...all in a bid to get ready for MBA starting in March. There will be more such weekends in the future. Anyways, let's leave all that and head straight to the pro and con analysis. 😉

Positives:

  1. The beginning was quite interesting.
  2. Interesting. Raghav can write upside down. That was a nice piece of information though I'm not sure how helpful it would be.
  3. Vijay's comments on police and criminals to Raghav. So realistic. Great job dialogue writer. That was well-written.
  4. Raghav's comments about the 2 thieves. Nicely done. They looked so normal. My guess was eloping lovers, not thieves. Well played CVs. Well played.
  5. Slowly everyone is getting tied up. I liked that idea.
  6. Vijay actually being Michael. Now that was a surprise! I knew Vijay had done it based on that one thing he said, but that he was Michael, the serial killer, was a surprise. And that Michael was the real Inspector Vijay. God that was another nice twist.
  7. Raghav working with the real Vijay. Nicely done.

Negatives:

  1. Honestly I'm kind of getting tired of the slow entry for Raghav. I get he's the hero of the show and all, but they need to stop that slow-mo entry.
  2. Really? Trying to make a child fearful? Ugh.
  3. The poem the child kept reciting. Honestly man. To show that a child is mentally ill, there are many other things that can be done. Why does it have to be a poem that makes no sense?
  4. The slow intro to the crime. Why oh why must the intros always be so long? Where's the fun in seeing the investigation then? Or make the investigations long as well. Make it a 2-hour episode instead of 1-hour if this is how you want to operate.
  5. Really? A man stays standing even after getting cut in the neck? And where was the blood pool? Puhlease. This is becoming very annoying.
  6. The room door was unlocked? Coming in through an open door is one thing, but coming in through a closed door so easily was problematic.
  7. Umm...when that Sunita ran away, she left the doors open. And yet a few seconds later Raghav and Vijay were opening the doors again. On top of it, they were on the second floor at least. So how the hell did she get out so quickly?
  8. Why is everything so slow? Why spend so much time on the character roles?
  9. BTW one thing. Recently an episode aired on CID named Hotel Decent in which Daya got stuck in a hotel similarly and there were murders in that hotel. While the episode isn't a copy, I felt the idea was lifted directly from there.
  10. Okay I take back my comment # 3 below. The moment Vijay said he only got service for like a minute I suspected him. How does one get service for only a minute and manage to get so much into and out of the conversation?
  11. How can you be so sure it's blood and not red colour or paint? Just because it sticks to you?
  12. Why didn't anyone wonder where that criminal, Bhaskar or something, from the beginning was? Ah chalo Raghav finally asked almost 20 minutes later.
  13. Okay so apparently the resort was full. Right? And in such a big hotel there are only something like 10 people? Really? How big is this resort actually?
  14. Such a big resort and there's no food except apples? Really?

General Comments:

  1. I like how this was a case that Raghav chanced upon for whatever reason. It was a nice change though I really missed the entire CBI team.
  2. Raghav announcing who he is. The way he just stated it by providing details on who that man was well-done. No airs, no ego. It was just a statement.
  3. The poem the child kept reciting. The way they kept showing her reciting it gave away much of the story. And so it wasn't much of a surprise to see people dying in the exact order and way the poem said so.
  4. I must give the case one thing. The criminal was hard to guess. Though that was more because they spent time developing the characters and in the introduction than anything.

Honestly I'm not impressed. The case was too slow. There was too much time spent on the intro and character development. And more time was spent on finding the bodies. There was not much investigation. It was just Raghav suddenly finding the truth. Or at least it looked too suddenly for me. From me a 2/5.
