Part 11

Ishitha soon left the Bhalla house and was heading towards her amma's place. Her tears were flowing continuously from her eyes. She all of a sudden stopped the car in the corner of the road and thought "If I go home like this amma and appa will get scared. No no I can't go home now. I will go to the office for now" and she went to the office and asked Sarika not to disturb her saying she's very busy.

She locked herself in her cabin and cried till she felt better. Even though she stopped crying after sometime the whole day was void for her. She left the office at 6 in the evening and went to her parents house.

"Ishu..." shouted amma excited to see Ishitha after a long time.

"Amma how are you?" Ishitha hugged amma faking a smile.

"I'm fine kanna. But these bags?" Amma asked worried.

"Amma I wanted to spend sometime with your'll. So I came to stay here for some days"

"But Ishu Raman?"

"Amma Raman is busy these days. So he couldn't come"

"Arey Madhu why so much questions. Let Ishu come inside first"

"Oh ok" said Mrs.Iyer unconvinced.

Ishitha spent sometime with her parents by composing herself not to cry infront of them. She after sometime said that she's very tired and need to sleep and that she's not hungry.

She went to her room and locked herself and cried her heart out as she held on her tears for a long time infront of her parents when they continously asked questions about Raman. Exhausted she slept on her bed.

Amma being a mother did not have good vibes about Ishitha's sudden visit. So she called Vandu and Mihika to come and talk to her and get to know whether there is any issue between her and Raman.

That day Raman came home at 12 o'clock and checked Ishitha in the dining table as he didn't see her the whole day even in office. As he didn't find her there he went to their room and found it empty. He was getting restless so he went to his parent's room but they were sound asleep. He tried to sleep but couldn't. He opened their cupboard and found most of her clothes were missing. He got even more restless. He took her blue saree which he loved the most and hugged it to himself. He remembered how she blackmailed him about telling his mother and how she made her space in the cupboard. He took her saree and went to her couch and slept there.

In the morning Raman stayed till his parents woke up and went to have breakfast with them. Both Mr.&Mrs.Bhalla was angry with him so they didn't talk to him. After sometime Raman asked "Maa where is Ishitha?"

"Who are you to ask that? And why does it matter to you?" answered Thoshi rudely.

"Maa why are you angry on me? Ishitha is my wife. I'm her husband. Don't I have the right to know where she is?"

"Oh really you remember she's your wife now. I'm surprised my son. All these days you didn't know whether you have a wife or not. Now suddenly when she's not there you remember her?"

"Maa there's nothing like that. I was busy these days..."

Thoshi cut him off in the middle and said "Raman don't think I'm a fool. Ishitha went to her parent's house as she wanted to stay there for sometime. But I know that something has happened between your'll . And I don't know what. But I'll tell you one thing. You will loose her very soon if you're late to react. Its the right time to tell the truth to her. I know she loves you a lot. But you have hurt her. People who have gone are gone puttar they won't come again. Now Ishitha is your life. Love her and make her yours forever if not you'll loose her forever and then you'll regret it your whole life"

"Maa..."

"Raman I won't take any promises from you as you have already broken the one you gave" and she went away.

"Puttar your mother is right. Don't loose a wife like Ishitha. Its time you move on. Don't be a coward"

"Papa what if she leaves me listening to the truth. No papa I can't tell her. I wanted to tell as well. But I can't. I'm falling in love with her but I'm stopping myself. I can't move on without telling her the truth. And telling her the truth means she will leave me forever. No papa I can't loose her. Maa was right. Now she's my life and I'll die without her"

"Puttar you love her but you haven't understood her fully. Ishitha is a very understanding girl. You will never loose her for this truth. She will support you your whole life"

"I'll try papa. I just need sometime"

"Ok puttar. But that time shouldn't be too long"

"Ok papa"

Raman went to office totally lost feeling helpless as he was scared to loose his wife now. He knew he love her yet he was confused. He sat in his cabin and thought about the past week he has ignored her. "How can I hurt her? Does she really love me?But why? I have hurt her always. But still she loves me. I always thought that god never will give love in my life but I was wrong. Ishitha is the love of my life. Shagun was not in my fate, Ishitha was. I can't be late and loose her. But if she leaves me, how can I live without her. Will she understand me?"

On the otherside Vandu has been trying to know something from Ishitha but she didn't open up.

"Akka I said nuh there's no issue between me and Raman. He's very busy these days and I felt lonely so I came here. If amma has a problem in me staying here I will go in the evening"

"There's nothing like that Ishu. She's our mother. She can understand us. If there's a problem you can tell us nuh"

"Akka for the last time I'm telling you there's no problem. I'm getting late for office I'm going"

"Amma don't worry. If there's any major issue she'll tell us. Let her be on her own. She'll be fine" said Vandu to Mrs.Iyer.

"Ok kanna"

Ishitha as usual went to office and stayed in her cabin and busied herself with work. Raman knew she won't come if he called her and he didn't have the strength to face her. So on the pretext of some work he went to her department just to get a glimpse of her. He saw her working in her cabin. Her face looked tired and she was so worn out. He knew he was the reason for all this which made a lone tear escape from his eye which he wiped off immedieately and went back to his cabin.

Three days went by. Ishitha unable to bare the pain opened up to Mihika which made her very furious.

"I will go and talk to that Raman Bhalla if you can't"

"Mihiku please don't. There was no relation between us and will never be. I will go to that house again making up my mind to be that old Ishitha who couldn't stand him"

"Ishu are you out of your mind? Do you even understand what your saying? Your'll are married. For how long will this happen? Ignoring each other, no relation then why did your'll marry in the first place tell me. Just for your parents your'll live as strangers Ishu? Ok either you decide to move on in this relationship or else you decide to back out. I will tell the truth to everyone so that both can get seperated and live happily with someone else your'll find to love"

"What are you saying Mihiku? Are you asking me to divorce from him?"

"If not what?" said Mihika angrily. "Listen Ishu all what matters to me is your happiness. If your happy with Raman only you can live with him if not there's no point . For how long will you do things for others not thinking about your happiness? Even I don't want to see you seperated from him as you love him. And according to all what happened between your'll I feel he loves you too. But he's confused. What I'm trying to tell you is confess your love to him"

"I need time"

"Ok just think and take a proper decision. But this decision of yours to be that old Ishitha in that house is wrong"

Mihika went out and thought to herself "Ishu I did a lot of brainwashing for you. Now its your turn to win your love. I know Raman will love you too"

The next day morning Ishitha had high fever. She was very weak. She asked amma and appa not to tell the bhallas as they'll get scared.

Raman as usual went to see Ishitha in her cabin but was worried as she was not there. He wanted to ask from Sarika but thought against it and went to his cabin. Ishitha's situation was the same the next day. She was even more weak than before. She didn't take any food or medicine but cuddled herself in the bed and slept. Amma and appa so worried thought to talk to Raman.

Raman again went to her cabin to see it empty again. He was so worried as Ishitha never take leave from work like this. He heard Sarika talking through phone with a client saying that Ishitha has not come and that unusually she hasn't informed that she's on leave. Raman got more worried when he received a call.
