HAPPY NEW YEAR
Here I am giving the os...hope its not bored you on new year... Love you girls.đđ
The soft fling of sunrays slowly finding its ways from the small opening of their room window, the bird's tweeting...the soft aroma of wet sand flowered the environment...just like her giggling in their room. A crook mischievous grin spread on Raghav's lips...feeling her shrinking on their bed with shyness...her melodious giggle warming his heart...
"Its look like I am saying truth...right..." he whispered huskily widening his lips with crook smile. She turned her face scandalously biting her lower lip.
"you are so brazen raghav...you don't know what to say" she returned little fake fuming on him...but still the blush played on her lips.
"Ha...to...you are my wife...and I have the right sweety..."
"So sleazy!!! If I know you used this language... I never married you..."
"Really...Then you had to be single whole life...Because I don't think any other one tolerate you rather than me..." her mouth opened in fuse on his words with her narrowed eyes.
"That's why you roamed around my home whole one month for my yes Raghav Singhania..."
"Ha...ab dil jab mendaki (frog) pe aa gaya to padmini bhi kaise pasand ayegi..." he teased her. She gritted her teeth wrathfully on him.
"You think this about me...ha. Sahi kahte hai sab, after marriage all men change... And you change only in one year...I hate you..." Raghav chuckled on her seething tone.
"Kalpi..." he called her...but she did not respond him.
"Kalpi...listen to me love..."
"OK...you are not mendaki...but the queen of my heart...now fine..." she blew her nostrils hotly. "Sorry wify...you are the only one who stole my heart on first sight when I saw you on Aryan's wedding...your smile...your eyes...your hairs all made my knees weak...and on this same day one year before you came in my life as mine" her cheeks turned red slowly in blush reminding the worth of that day, "happy anniversary wify..." her eyes flickered with intense love for him...which now dampened her lashes with some drops.
"You have to be here Raghav...with me...on this our special day..." her voice went heavy in dejection.
"kalpi...you know how is here's condition... And what I do, they cancelled my leave in between...but at least we got our time to spend together sweetheart...is not enough for you??" She kept her mouth numb. He smiled slowly feeling her silence. "That's why I said you...think twice before marring a army man...but you married me unthinkingly...now bear".
"yes...you are right...I had to think...but not to marry you...but to die without you" his lips beamed in blissfully hearing her words. "but you has my no value...that's why you leave me alone...right"
"Love...it's my responsibility toward my country...and I fulfilling it..
"
"Means...I am not your responsibility..."
"You are Kalpana...but not more than my country... " she smiled slowly.
"And I never come between you and your responsibility Raghav...I always with you..."
"I know...You always there beside me to play my responsibility..." his heart flattered seeing her selfless love for him. "I love you Kalpi..."
"I love you too...and happy anniversary..." the pain to live away from her husband terribly reflecting from her voice. Her heart felt heavy with passing seconds. Raghav too felt her pain.
"You too...and don't cry after cut the call..." he spoke concernedly.
Kalpi nodded "no..." when a drop of tear slightly rolled down her cheek. "Bye...come back soon..."
"Hmm...bye..." and he cut the call. She was alone there...seated on their king size royal bed hugging her knees in arms staring the walls of their bedroom which completely filled with his images. Every corner of their room showing her his presence. The fifteen days ago...when he came with his two months leave...that room was alive with his humorous jokes...unstoppable laugh...and her soundless blushing...but now...everything was silent...everything was numb...like they never alived before.
She slided her tear aside woefully...and moved out of her bed to start her special day...no their special day...her and his day.
Kalpi spent her all day with her in laws in joyness...because nor she wanted to remind them Raghav's absence...and neither they wanted to see her dejected on her isolation. The whole day Gouri and Vikram tried to cheer up a mirth beam on her face. After all they got such lovely daughter on their only son who not only overcompensated his scarcity...but spread her own aura of happiness.
And slowly the evening came...and with it the guests...the closed ones also came...to wish her and Raghav for their successful life. Her parents Anita and Mahesh, her cousin sister Nikita and Aryan...and some close friends...everyone was there to celebrate their special day...but her eyes every time only stucked on door...may be her gaze waited for something special...and that came.
"Mam...your envelope..
." her legs moved toward him zestily...like it was the thing she waited for. The delivery boy handed her a envelope and left from there taking her signature. She very vigorously teared the edge of the envelope. Others too followed her vivacity in striking...and then her face bloomed.
"Kalpi...is that report...???" Gouri stepped toward her with spice. Kalpi replied her nodding in affirmative beam. "its..." her eyes asked her confirmation...when Kalpi smiled.
"Yes mom..."
"Ohh good..." her voice filled with joy, "I am so happy beta..." Gouri hugged her so tightly...their brightened faces were well enough to tell others...that Kalpi was pregnant. "This is the most beautiful day of my life beta...thank you for this happiness" she uttered gaily...and with them, all family and others too started cheering their mirth...like from all doors, life showered the happiness on them...only one scarcity was there...Raghav.
Anita Mahesh Vikram blessed their daughter the healthy motherhood...while friends wished her awesome nine months...which made her sometimes blessed or sometimes blushed...that day their joyness turned double. Like sometimes life gives you all or sometimes it seizes all.
That day...there was no bound of Gouri's happiness...she specially turned everyone's tounge sugary by her hand. When Nikita forced Kalpi to call Raghav and tell him the good news. And Kalpi too turned her room to call him. She dialed his number...but it shows her out off coverage area.
"It's not reaching..." she moved towards hall speaking loudly.
"BREAKING NEWS"
Every person on the room stood up seeing the flashing news on TV...their heart stopped while feeling a fear in it.
"TERRORIST ATTCK ARMY CAMP NEAR LOC"
"From the sources...heavy firing took place in the morning at an army base camp near line of control. The attack was defeasanced with the loss of eight jawan of the country. Captain Angad Singh, Captain Ramnaveen Seniyal, Major Raghav Singhania...
And the mobile slipped from her hand.
are the names of the shaheed jawan."
Her heart started skipping loudly hearing that news... "it can't be true..." her ears declined to believe it. "No...how can it possible...He talked me morning...then...how he leave me...mom...how" Anita tried to hold her hand...but she jerked her. "They are lying mom...believe me...they are lying...he can't leave me this way...no he can't" she stood numb there. Anita shook her...but Kalpi not moved. She felt like the everything stopped there...something like hollowed...the whole world to be slipped toward the ground in fast...but she didn't feel the ground there...
" Raghav... " she called him...but he was no where. "Ra..gh..avvv..." her broken hearted scream echoed in the room...and she felled on ground. Her whole world shattered in one moment...the moment before she was on the sky of happiness...and now she was alone...all alone.
Gouri Vikram every single person shed their tears on their loss...the loss they not thought the little time ago...the home where the happiness came in double...now turned into a mourning place.
The week passed with the sorrow...Vikram and Gouri tried to come out of their trauma...which never gone from their hearts...but tried to cover that pain for the soul who was now their responsibility...who carrying their grandchild...who needing them.
After his funeral...Kalpi not put her legs out of her room, she locked herself in the aura of his memories...in the room...where she spent the most beautiful moment of her life with him. Gouri tried many times to call her out...but she not declined.
The morning...her parents came to meet them...to take Kalpi with them. How she spend her whole life like a widow in that house...like any parents they too thought same. And Gouri Vikram too accepted their words with heavy heart for her upcoming future. They all wanted her to remarry again...to spend her life happily again.
"Kalpi...please open the door beta..." Anita banged her door again and again...but she not got any response. One night before they all talked with Kalpi...but she left from there without giving response...from then her room was closed.
"Kalpi...try to understand beta...it is good for you...and your child beta...who take your responsibility..who care for you...he is gone...now no one for his family beta...please understand..." Gouri put her head on the door in weeping. Anita and Mahesh too felt miserable seeing her condition. Vikram moved forward to hold her with his weepy eyes...when her door opened.
A surprised crease felt in their heart looking her there...she was dressed in a lemon colored salwar-kameez...with her settled hair and puffy eyes...the file in her hand.
"Kalpi...what is this?? Where you going...?" Gouri asked solicitously seeing her all ready to go out.
"For job interview mom..." she said calmly, "your son played his responsibility towards his country...now it's my turn to fulfill his responsibility toward his family..." she spoke with tears in her eyes, "bless me mom...I get success on my work..." she touched Gouri's feet and moved toward the door...leaving the dejected faces of her beloved...who watched her going with their proudest heart.
She stepped slowly toward the new world...to find her identity...to fulfill her responsibilities alone...but with the treasure of his love in her heart...not with sorrow of widow...but with the proud beam as the wife of army man.
THE END
I don't know how it is...but I terrifically wanted to write this os...for the all wives of soldiers...who unknowingly plays their responsibilities toward their country...this is my tribute to all soldiers and their wives who always sacrifices their happiness for us.
Thank you...
And sorry if I bored you.
