guaranteed blockbuster but bajirao mastani is doing better despite being mediocre how come?

when its a clash...business divide into 2...the good story and content wins...but that doesn't mean DW has lost...with all the negativity..bans...protest...shows cancellations...clash...decrease of screens...its still holding good...not as expected but it does...its doing wonders in overseas...

For many ppl like me Dilwale's stale & slapstick comedy/romance etc is depressing & BM is entertaining.
That's why its doing good business 😃
