He was the fire, she was the flame..

He was the storm, she was the eye of it..

He was her burning desire, she was his blazing passion..

There's was the love which was the fire, the water, the earth, the wind and the rain..

They were heaven and they were earth.

"Nandini!" Manik's distraught voice broke her slumber. "Manik." She firstly whispered slowly and again he called her name and this time more painfully "Nandini!" and that was it Nandini was scared. She ran downstairs with hundreds or maybe millions of thoughts crossed her mind and made her vulnerable in those 30 seconds from bedroom to hall.

She was crying, crying hard as she ran down the stairs but found the hall to be dark. There was not a single ray of light coming from anywhere. "Manik!" she cried for his name as she tried to locate him. "Manik!" she cried again her heart was sinking with fear and she was shivering. Just as she thought she was living her worst nightmare praying to aiyappa all the while her god decided to answer her prayers in a positive way.

Suddenly the lights were switched on and there he stood right in front of her, her Manik smiling and looking at her with all his love. She looked at him for few seconds before crashing into his arms with all the strength left in her. She was crying badly and for a moment manik was taken aback and so were fab4 who were standing there. "Nandini baba what happened?" Manik was now scared a little as kept caressing her back to pacify her. "where were you from two days Manik?" Nandini asked between her sobs.

Manik broke the hug and truned her around. He pointed towards the room and bent down to whisper in her ears "happy birthday princess." And for the first time Nandini took a notice of her surrounding and found the entire house was decorated with balloons, her favorite flowers and there was a giant picture of her's adorned the wall right across the stairs with the caption "happy birthday my life".

She looked back at Manik with a broad smile and flung into his arms again and this time happily as he wished her again. Seeing her smiling the rest of the gang pounced on her screaming happy birthday Nandini!' on the top of their voices. After what seemed like eternity they broke the hug and they all held their ears apologetically saying "sorry Nandini we made you cry so much. But Manik wanted to make your 18^th birthday really special so we had to." Nandini smiled and looking at Manik she said "thanks it's all really beautiful and it is the best birthday of my life."

"Ok now time for cake come on people fast." Abhi brought a chocolate cake from the kitchen and asked Nandini to cut it. Nandini blew the candles and held Manik's hand saying "you made this day special so it's a special day for both of us therefore we both need to celebrate it." Manik smiled and agreed as this day was really special for him. They cut the cake and fed each other the first bite and then fed their friends. Last but not the least was Cabir to be fed who took a gigantic piece and said "are Nandini aaj special day pe special facial toh karwa lo." And before Nandini could understand what was happening he smeared the entire piece o her face and soon they all started the cake war.

Finally after some great fun all their friends dispersed for their homes and bidding Nandini good night and wishing her happy birthday even Cabir went to catch some sleep. Manik lifted Nandini and started walking off to their room when Nandini said "what are you doing Manik? I can walk." Manik smiled and shut the bedroom door behind him, he placed Nandini over the bed and said "I know you can walk princess but it's your special day and you have to listen and do what I ask you to do." He hopped on to the bed next to her. As soon as Manik laid down Nandini quickly snuggled close to him holding his vest tightly as if he would vanish if she let him go.

"I am sorry Nandini! I just wanted to surprise you and I never intended to make you cry." Manik said as he understood how hurt and scared she was even though his situation was not different staying away from her. "please Manik don't pull these stunts ever." She said at the crook of his neck as she snuggled in more to him, he kissed her hair and said I promise." And soon they both drifted to sleep.

It was a beautiful morning for Nandini, it was her birthday. Although she hasn't celebrated her birthday in the last many years but this year Manik made sure she would celebrate and celebrate it every year from here on. She opened her eyes to the beautiful and unbelievable site in front of her eyes. Manik was standing with a huge heart shaped bouquet of red roses in his hand. "happy birthday princess!" he wished her with a warm forehead kiss and her favorite smile. "good morning!" replied Nandini who was still yawning. "Chalo Nandini go freshen up fast then you have to have your breakfast." Manik lifted her from bed and shoved inside the bathroom without giving a chance to protest.

Nandini came back from the bathroom with baffled expressions "what is this Manik?" and before she could argue further Manik stuffed a huge bite of aloo ka paratha and asked chirply "How's it? Maine banaya, badi maa ke saath do din tak practice ki iski." Manik said with a hint of achievement and Nandini bulged her eyes to look at him all surpised. She was overwhelmed with the efforts Manik was taking to make her day special. With tears in her eyes she packed corner of Manik's lips and said "best ever breakfast." Making him blush.

The whole day passed for Nandini with Manik's TLC. At times it went so much that Nandini had to hide herself in the bathroom to avoid it, not that she didn't loved it but she had her capacity to handle food and Manik's love crossed all limits today trying to compensate for neglecting her for two days. Finally Cabir had to intervene and ask manik to put a break or else he threatened Manik that he won't let him execute his evening surprise.

Finally it was the time for the big party and Nandini was standing in front of the cupboard thinking what to wear. "Ahemm..Ahem.." Manik's made her to look at him. "Manik I am so confused what should I wear?" she asked him taking out few dresses. "Well" Manik took all those from her hands and threw them and handed her a packet saying "you will wear this. Come fast I am waiting down." Nandini looked at the packet and was shocked to see what it contained.

It was almost 30 minutes since Manik gave the packet to Nandini. He and Cabir were dreesed in hard black tuxedos waiting for the birthday girl to come. "Nandini!" manik called her when he heard her voice "I am here." And the what he saw blew him away. Nandini was dressed in a beautiful off white strapless full length gown with delicate net embroidery all over. She had curled up her hair in waves and pinned it open on one side. She wore off white pearl earrings to complete her look. Manik was mesmerized by her beauty; he forwarded his hand hand to her which she grabbed instantly.

He pulled her close to him and she banged right into his chest; he caressed her rosy cheeks with his thumb and whispered "you look angelic" as his nose rubbed her nape sending shivers across her body. Nandini closed her eyes and manik moved close to kiss her; their brethes collided sending them both in a trance when suddenly Cabir's voice brought them back to reality "two is company and three is crowd and no kissie wissie in crowd." He started laughing hysterically leaving Nandini blushing and Manik rolling his eyes. "Ho gaya tera!" manik hit Cabir and dragged Nandini with him.

It was around 1 hour that Nandini was sitting in the car blind folded and manik was refusing to tell her where he was taking her for the party. Finally putting an end to her misery the car finally stopped. Manik helped her in getting down. After walking a few steps he whispered in her ears opening her blindfold "welcome to the palce where it all started." Nandini was pleasantly surprised to find herself at the same beach house where she planned his birthday and they shared their first kiss under the stars. "Manik!" she looked at him with a wide smile and he slid his arm across her waist and walked in.

It was a beautiful arrangement with the theme of princess where every girl was dressed in princess gown and guys were dressed in formal blazers. The whole hall was decorated with with white and red roses and white curtains. Badi maa came running and wished Nandini a very happy birthday but what the biggest smile on her face was seeing DJ there.

She rushed to DJ and hugged her tightly. "happy birthday beta." DJ kissed her forehead but Nandini looked at her with surprise and asked "aap?" "tere jalebi ne bulaya hai." DJ replied referring Manik and Nandini looked at Manik who was looking at her. She gestured a thank you.' And he blinked his eyes to confirm.

The party was going in full flow and everyone seemed to be having a great time. Nandini was chatting with Alya and Mukti when she received a message from Manik "Come to beach time for surprise." With thumping heart and excitement she made her way to the beach.
