Surinder Kapoor is a Bollywood film producer and was President of the The Film & Television Producers Guild of India from 1995 to 2001. His three sons, Boney, Anil and Sanjay, are also involved in the film industry. His daughter, Reena, is married to Sandeep Marwah of Marwah Films & Video Studios and the Asian Academy of Film & Television in Noida Film City, NOIDA.
He started his film life as a secretary to actress Geeta Bali who was wife of Shammi Kapoor.

Ammu, That's why it is almost like not-related because too far a relation.

This is true because I read about it a long time ago and also Anil Kapoor had said this long time ago in an interview. He mentioned how Kapoors helped his father to find a foothold in the industry. His mom and Krishna are best friends.
