Saw the movie today and I must say I am mighty surprised. This was sane, entertaining and quite funny. When I saw Gerua I wasnt much impressed for all looked fake but dude that song looks one heck of beauty in the theater. Yes Dilwale is not one of the most epic or intelligent movies of this year but It is not logic-less either. It has a story (and quite believable one). What I loved the most about the movie is that its look and feel is very simple and real. You dont have half baked scenes or incomplete conversations just happening for the heck of it (Sry if that reminds one of Tamasha which I found irritating for this very reason). But Dilwale despite having proper flow in scenes, is quite fast paced. The movie is unexpectedly funny and Johny lever is AMAZING...hv seen him in form after so long. Kajol looks stunning and SRK is simply loveable (And believe that to be coming from someone whose not a diehard fan). His act in the second half reminds u his chak de stint just for the sanity and passion he portrays as the reformed don. Kajol has got a twisted character and she played it effortlessly. Varun is adorable specially the bond shared by SRK and Varun...its heart-warming. ❤️ Kirti is more of beauty than acting but she is decent not looking over or under anywhere.

But what works the most for the movie is the songs (Gerua full version is magic and daayre is beauty) and comic timing of four great comic actors johny,boman, sanjay and mukesh. All four are simply hilarious. SRK-Kajol chemistry, though forced at some points, is still quite sizzling.

I am amazed why critics are bashing this movie so much. This is one of the better movies Rohit shetty made. Its entertaining and got feels. Atleast it doesnt bore you. Yes its not for the intelligentsia but its not bad. I honestly found it much better than the likes of OSO, CE or HNY.

@choco- Go with zilch expectations and you will probably like it 😆 Am pretty sure I would have hated it if not for these two. But SRK Kajol and Varun totally make it work.

P.S. The last scene is love. Am pretty sure you will like it. I was literally grinning like an idiot 😆 Even Rohit Shetty and a half baked story is not enough to kill their chemistry 😆

Now i am curious about this last scene... is it like a tribute to SRK kajol pair? some nod to DDLJ scene? train scene? u were saying the dialogue still works.. which? bade bade shehro mein aisi...

Dilwale Friday (1st Day) Box Office Collections

Dilwale 1st Day Friday Box Office Collection Early Estimate is 21-21.5 cr. The first day collection is 3rd Highest Opening Day (Day 1) of 2015 Bollywood Movies.

Dilwale has collected superb numbers from South and East circuits. In south, it might end up creating all time records for day one in some circuits when the final numbers come in tomorrow. The film has overperformed in Southern circuits like Mysore, Tamil Nadu and Kerala much like Rohit Shetty - Shah Rukh Khan's last blockbuster Chennai Express. The film is superb in West Bengal which is unarguably Shah Rukh Khan's fort and this is in spite of the fact massy films don't do that well in this belt

The film is good to very good in places like Maharasthra, CP-Berar, Gujrat, CI, Rajasthan, Orissa, Bihar, Assam belts etc. The film is good in places like East Punjab, Delhi UP belt. The first day number would have much higher had the clash not happened and the film had got solo release. In terms of occupancy per screen basis, it has had the second/third highest occupancy of 2015 as the occupancy is close to Bajrangi Bhaijaan.

The film needs to hold well on Saturday, a good growth will clearly signal a favorable word of mouth. We need to wait and see what sort of numbers the film manages tomorrow but the advance is much better than today.

Note - The final numbers will be published tomorrow. These are purely estimates and the final numbers may be slightly higher or lower

why u r insulting srk by comparing him wid some non actor... cmon, salman iz nothing infront of international superstar srk...so i wont be surprised if sultan opens low...aise vi, i've high expectation frm raees n low expectation frm sultan...
