The actor lost her voice after repeatedly enacting her peculiar cry in the show 'Yes Boss'
Popular demand for her character Kavita may have got Delnaaz Paul back on 'Yes Boss' (SAB) but that has put her in a predicament of sorts. It's been just three days since she has begun shooting, and the bubbly actor's voice has already gone hoarse.
Quiz her on the reason and she shares in whispers, "My character Kavita has an idiosyncrasy—that of crying out to her husband Vinod (Asif Sheikh) in a funny way. I did that continuously for three days and my vocal chords gave away."
Delnaaz adds, "The character needs a lot of energy. It has been liked by audiences. So this peculiarity has been included in most of my scenes."
Delnaaz continues, "People used to stop and ask me why I was not part of 'Yes Boss'? In fact, I have included this mannerism in my role in Paritossh Painter's play 'Yeh Dil Maange More' as well." Delnaaz adds in between giggles, "I am now nursing my throat by having warm turmeric milk."
Ask her how it feels to return to the show and she says with a smile, "This is like second home to me. I have worked on this show for four years. When I returned, the atmosphere on the sets was the same. Moreover, the director of the show, Rajan Waghdhare, is my mentor. He gave me a break on TV with the countdown show 'Top 10'.
Thereafter, he cast me in his other serials like 'Abhi To Main Jawaan Hoon', 'Sajan Tum Jhooth Mat Bolo' and 'Shaadi No. 1'."
