agree in dastaan AHSAN SABA CAMEO was very impactful
They proved their mettle even in a small role
Hassan. Rabia was serene n beautiful

BUT ITS VERY UNFAIR TO COMPLETELY RULE OUT HASSAN BANO luvstory and say dastaan is all about the above cameos whereas the lead couples love story punches at the heart and u badly want them to b together...not to forget fawad sanam baloch subtle chemistry ...be it the initial romance nok jhoks or the heart wrenching scenes towards the end..

How can someone ignore all that and mention only the cameos and say dastaan was all about them

Are we even talking about the same show

Different People Have Different Choices And You Need To Respect That Abby! Maybe Dastaan worked for you as Hassan Bano but for me it worked for above mentioned things.

Its not that you can force them. I'm not overruling them but it didn't work for me. The same way, As Humsafar didn't clicked with me despite Asher Khirad. And Please don't start with they are different shows and all that.

You have ur reasons to like a show, I have mine. If you don't like it then don't read. End Of Discussion.

Humsafar is overrated I agree

But it becomes hard to digest when people don't appreciate the obvious

U saying u cudnt like hassan bano after dastaan is like someone saying she didn't like zaroon kashaf after watching zgh and praising other characters

So it's hard to digest when people don't appreciate the obvious

^^I at least respect that. For many, the leads don't work. Its not that you would just like the obvious only. I have my reasons, You have yours. End Of Disscusion From My Side.

Okk, I've been watching this without a break and I think Ashk is not that crap as ppl call it to be. It started off good, then completely turned shitty in the middle and now it has again gained "some" momentum.
The last few days, mainly revolved around Ajjo and Dinga. Ajjo is expecting and Dinga as usual hails and cries to meet her! 🤢 Getting on my nerves seriously.

Zaibu... Sundas you were right! I mean I can't get over her dumbness and laugh like a maniac.😆😆 I mean she isn't shown apologizing to Rohail or detesting her deeds. All what she does is, sheds a few tears and write that diary.
What amazed me more was, she asked Ajjo to pray that she is able to give Rohail what he wants. Fulfil her duties as a wife...!!!! And I'm like Sayy What??😲😲😲 Only a few episodes away she was calling him lusty when Rohail referred to the physical aspect and now she wants intimacy?? Woah! That's too broken! 😕😕

Madiha, Her state of mind is worse! Now with Rohail going back to his house just for the sake of his mother is making her worse and she has started behaving like those possessive women. I really hope she doesn't gets her heart broken In the end which I'm sure she will.

Rohail, One confused tortured personality. Although he said that He Madiha are just acting to live together but the implied intimacy is something that cannot be ignored. Dunno where this is going to end.

@Abby - Humaafar isn't overrated :( .. You know if it would be overrated in a true sense then people wouldn't be so complaining about Humaafar being more liked than that off dastan

I respect and appreciate dastan as a show and one of them who loves Hassan-bano but that no way means it's better than Humaafar or better than ZGH .. Yes perspectives will vary and so will the likes and dislikes but what's with this constant putting down of humsafar just becos it doesn't deal with a partition love or deals with a realistic touch like ZaShaf ? I'm sure if it wouldn't be great it wouldn't be the highest rated, watched and appreciated Urdu drama till date ..

Moreover in dastan Mehreen was very good in her part and becos her and fawad's chemistry was so beautiful that's why some people found Hassan-Rabeya as more impactful .

i cringe over the show, the director and the dumbness of the writer whenever Ajjo, dinga and Zaibu appears onscreen..
I still like watching Mehroo and bilal, they at least know that what they want and they even confess that their relation was approved at the stake of a ot of hiatus. But W*F is hell right disgustingly obnoxious and pathetic about Zaibu and her brains ? W*F is wrong and disfigured with Rohail's brains too ? they love each other but for what ? there is no respect or trust left between these two, all they have in between them is the contract of him being her legal husband and cheating over her with another woman ( which ofcourse is not true but Rohail made peace with this ) . then why cannot Rohail just throw her out ? send her to pakistan, thats it, be a man and just let her do whatever she wants with her naari shakti and crocodile tears .. she still does not deserve him, yes she does not, even if he slices her with 100 knives, she must ask for an apology for at least poisoning his mother's brain and tarnishing his character. there is just no outright justification in influencing a mother abandoning her innocent son .

I swear by god Sarmad cannot do this, especially after he was so great with treating Asher-Fareeda angle in Humsafar, he just leaves a bad taste here with Kulsoom-Rohail..

OK, I've been watching Ashk and thought that would post my views once the show ends and Today was just that!
I mean I cannot wrap my head around the storyline! What were Sarmad and Zafar smoking while writing this script! 😡😡 I mean it just doesn't makes any sense. Rohail has to be one of the confused, tattered soul I've ever come across.

Rohail was pushed and pushed to his limits which perhaps explains his transformation from a polite man to a more harsh soul. But I can't get why is he still in love with that Zaibu? And if he was so in love with her then why Madiha? Why did he gave her the title of that second woman by pretending to live with her?!! And In today's episode, How he said he loves Madiha too? And I'm like?? Really?? Then why not divorce Zaibu? And what was he thinking when he said that Zaibu had no fault? Really? How can he say that??

Then Mansoor, I think he has been smoking too! Why support Zaibu In all this shit? My father wouldn't have supported me at all in this fiasco. And why the FAQ?? Why The FAQ does not she apologizes to Rohail?? All she does is shed those crocodile tears and write that diary. I hate the fact that she was so glorified for all the shit things she did! What was that???!!!!

Madiha, I felt so bad for her! I mean she supported Rohail when needed the most, brought him back to pieces only to be left by Rohail and have her image tarnished as the second woman. That was not done!

That Zaibu deserved to be kicked out and divorced by Rohail. Even if he didn't marry Madiha, he can be seen having a happy life. Also, the Rohail Kulsoom angle wasn't given a proper closure. Its really hard to believe that Sarmad actually directed this.

The Storyline wasn't bad but the treatment was. It started off good, turned shitty midway and again gained some momentum. The ending was expected with Ajjo's Daughter and Rohail Zaibu.
Neelum Munir was way too OTT and cringy as Zaibu. Plus I also don't find her that gorgeous except her Rin Fairness.

Resham was average as Mehru, while Mehreen is underrated but she was exceptionally good as Madiha and Fawad is Fawad! Even in such a crap script, He shone as Rohail. ❤️
Wayy To Goo Baby!! ❤️

My 1st Pak show.

It ended already? I think this is the main reason of poor direction, poor narration, no development of characters, idiotic scenarios.

I also think they burned most of their budget in foreign-location shots. Why is almost every pak serial depends heavily on foreign locations.

This kind of story demands character exploration but we did get none.

Only If this whole content had 10-15 more episodes then it would have done much better.

They knew the starting & end point but they completely lost the plot midway. They didn't know how to reach the end. Acting was average. Thankfully pak-shows doesn't come up with cringeworthy bgm or repeat telecast of actors feeble faces.

Mr. fawad is overrated but better than his indian compatriots

Didn't like the way they concluded the show...simplifying every problem and resolving it in a rushed, juvenile, cliched way. Fawad's acting in this show was too stiff, without any variation. His range as an actor seems pretty limited
