CHAPTER-33: LOVE ME LIKE YOU DO

Getting up slowly from the bed, making sure that she wasn't disturbed, Ranveer wore his tee shirt and left the room to check on his two beautiful girls, after taking Rashni's chocolate from the freezer. Entering their room, he saw both of them still having forty winks as Ranveer squealed "Lassies! It's time for morning!" as Alakya tossed herself to the other side of the bedstead and brushed her eyes as she saw her daddy looking at both of them in awe. Quickly getting up, she whispered "Where's Mama? Did you find her? Is she alright?"

"I did. She was fine and we came back after spending quality time in the Marine Drive" he said in the same tone as Alakya smacked "Not bad. But she isn't angry, is she?

"Nah. She's fine" he winked as he lifted her around his arms and said "Shall we get ready for the day?"

"Yay! By the way, Happy Birthday! What have you planned for today?" she said, yawning as Ranveer replied "Nothing. Just take rest and play away the time. I'll be taking your Mama out for dinner today. I hope she'll be fine with it and I'll be giving her my first punishment too, which I have been planning for a long time now"

"Okay. May I know about the punishment?" she winked as Ranveer whispered, "That's a secret"

Making her get inside the wash, Ranveer quickly carried his second wonder as she yawned, hugely. Looking at him in surprise, she moved her tiny hands forward, hugging him. Enthused by her gesture, he slowly took the chocolate out from his pocket as he showed them to her in surprise. Showing her routine toothy smile, she tried to clutch them from him, but failed to do so. Showing him a mock expression, she shooed herself away from him, in mock anger as Ranveer cuddled her. Laughing, she turned back as Ranveer kissed her on the bridge of her nose.

"You'll get them after you have your breakfast. Okay?" he said, nuzzling her nose as she nodded her head in acceptance.

"Alakya, can you finish bathing already?" he wailed as she screamed "Yes Papa!" and came out wearing a pink jean skirt and a white tee, her face as fresh as the sky.

"Not bad. Get down for the breakfast and don't disturb Mama...she's sleeping" he said as she interrupted "Still? Is she fine Papa?"

"Of course. She's just tired because we came late. That's it" he said as Alakya went down for her breakfast.

Making her quickly take a shower, Ranveer powdered her lovingly as he tickled her, making sure that she wasn't bored. Picking up a red shorts and a yellow tee, he made her wear them as he combed her hair. Making sure that she was ready, he carried her into his arms again, walking down the stairs for the breakfast.

As everyone wished a happy birthday to him, they asked him about Ishani too. Making sure that he is not telling about her yesterday's tactics, Ranveer cooked up a story so that no one suspects on them, especially her. Making Rashni sit on her baby chair, Ranveer went inside the kitchen as he now took lemons and a bottle of soda along with ice cubes.

Crushing them, he saw Gauri enter the kitchen as he said "Good Morning Gauri. Lime soda?"

"No...It's fine. You were about to tell me something yesterday, right?"

"Oh yeah!" he said, as he transferred the chopped ices into a bowl. "I wanted to ask you about Isha...May I?"

"Yeah, why not?" she said, hesitant.

"May I know of why is she being an introvert? I have never seen her smile or talk with anyone. Though there are two other kids here, why isn't she talking to anyone nor playing with them? What is wrong with her?" he asked, now mixing the lime juice with the soda.

"Well Ranveer, she's an introvert but she wasn't one earlier. She used to talk and play with everyone in the street and was one among the most jovial kids in town. But then, her dad pushed her away and locked her into a room, without letting her out and tortured her. She lost interest in everything after then."

"What? When did that happen? And didn't you take any action against him?"

"No. I did take by complaining about him to the police and filed a case against him. After all the trials, I finally got a divorce from him and took back Isha, thus coming back to Ahmedabad" she sighed deeply.

"How do you think that she'll be able to bounce back?"

"I don't know. I'm searching for all possible ways, but couldn't find one"

"Hmm. May I give you an idea?" he asked, adding sugar and salt now.

"What?" she asked, excited as he answered "Why don't you guys go out today? With all the girls and bring the real self out of her?"

"Will she come?"

"She has to, Gauri. Try, try asking her. Also, I and Ishani have planned to go out today. So today is the best choice" he said as he changed the soda into a glass.

"Okay! So have your breakfast now. I gotta go to the room" he said as he got himself relieved from Gauri who was smiling in assurance.

Taking the glass along with him, he moved forward towards his room as he saw Ishani sitting cross-legged, her hair covering her face. Inching towards her, he said "Good morning, Miss" keeping the glass on the bedside table, he continued "Mister Savior is here" and chuckled. As he heard no response from her, he called her again, "Ishani?" as she gave him a bare sound "Hmm"

"I called you and told you a good morning. Are you there or lost somewhere?" he asked as he now raised her face only to see her eyes swollen and red. "Were you crying?"

"Yes" she said sniffing.

"Why?" he asked, caressing her cheeks.

"I'll tell that later. Now tell me, do you have ideas on how to die?"

"What?" he asked her, bewildered. "I want to die. Do you have an idea?" she asked him, again.

"What's wrong with you, Ishani? Why are you like this? Are you still angry at me? I already told you a sorry, right?" he said, wiping her tears.

"But that cannot change the statements which you threw upon me, Ranveer" she said as Ranveer, though irked, smilingly replied "Do you know something Ishani? You are not stupid, but innocent. I've never seen such a girl in my entire life. I cannot afford that. Fine? You're not leaving anywhere. You are actually still sluggish. Have this lime soda and get back to normal. You're making me crazy now!"

"I'm not liking it" she said her face, still facing the ground.

"Not liking what?" he asked, tucking her clumsy hair behind her ear.

"The soda" as she made weird expressions drinking them. "It'll do. It will actually be bitter for you. You've had around forty full bottles yesterday, after all!" he said nuzzling her nose as she smiled, embarrassed.

"Look at that smile! This is my Sunny!" he kissed her forehead as she hugged him.

"Am I stupid, Ranveer?" she asked, like a child.

"You're not" he said, ruffling her hair and thought "Actually, you are...the biggest ever stupid, I've ever met."

Breaking from the hug after a few minutes, Ranveer said "So, we'll be going to a restaurant today. Fine?"

"For what?"

"To give my first punishment inside the place and as a return gift" he said as he got up, "Now, get and freshen up yourself and don't dare to tell anyone that you got yourself drunk. Understand?"

"Yeah" she sighed as she got up, getting ready for the day, "Ranveer? What about them? Did they get up?"

"Ha! My girls are already ready and they are waiting for their Mama"

"Whoosh! What's the time?"

"It's past 9" he said as he went down.

Getting ready for the evening, Ishani wore a lavender coloured ball gown having a simple work of floral all over them, pink in colour. Donning a bun and a ribbon around it, she complimented herself with a simple make up and heavy studs. Having a final look of herself, she saw Ranveer coming out in his black tuxedo with a complimenting tie, as handsome as ever.

"Are you ready, Ishani?" he asked, doing his tie.

"I am. But what will you tell the others? Won't they feel bad?" she asked as he replied "Nah. They are at the Infinity Mall now. So, chill. I have also told them that we'll be late, again" as he leaped his hand forward hoping that she'll hold them. Holding them tightly, Ishani said "Shall we?"

Reaching the place by another 45 minutes, Ishani and Ranveer got down as they now saw themselves before a huge star hotel.

Ranveer thought "Ishani, I have them ready and I have been waiting to give them to you. I hope that you'll say a yes. I really hope" as Ishani snapped her fingers before him asking "Are you there? You seem lost"

"Yeah, I am" he said as they went inside, their hands interlocked.

"What would you like to have sir?" Ranveer was asked, by one of the waiters.

Looking at her, he said "A bottle of red wine and two portions of Corn Cake Stacks with Aged Cheddar and Arugula. Will that be fine, Sunny?"

"Yeah, yeah. They gel up well" she said as she hid her smile.

As the waiter handed over the orders, Ishani asked him cheekily "I've never seen such a guy in my entire life! How can you stay so cool? I mean, you knew that I had upto forty huge bottles of wine and whiskeys and you still allow me to have some more?"

"A glass won't make any difference, you see. But I warn you, not more than a glass. Got it?" he warned her with a stare as she chuckled "Okay, okay"

As their food arrived, both of them ate in silence, apart from the jokes they shared about themselves and reliving their childhood memories.

"Would you like to join the floor?" the waiter asked as Ranveer gave his hand to her. Accepting it, both of them moved into the dance floor as the background went-

Holding her waist with his one hand and her other hand with his other, they swayed away to the tunes of the song, beautifully, their eyes, transfixed over each other's and their heart beating into as one,

Twirling her around back and forth, Ranveer turned her to each and every line of the song as both of them still saw each other with their eyes transfixed upon each other. As the song ended, she said "Happy Birthday, Ranveer" as he took an envelope from his coat pocket and gave them to her "For you, Sunny"

Taking her hand off his neck, she asked "What's this?"

"My first punishment for you" he said as she saw him, smiling beamingly at him.

"What?" she narrowed her eyebrows, "Punishment? An envelope? What is this called? A punishment?"

"Maybe not. But I've been waiting for two weeks now to ask this to you" he said as Ishani replied "Two weeks? What's wrong with you Ranveer? We just came back two weeks back!"

"Now let's sit down, Sunny" he said, holding her from her waist. Smiling, they sat down as Ishani now opened the envelope to see two tickets. Looking at them, Ishani asked "Tickets? Where are we going?"

"Manali"

"What?" she asked both surprised and shocked, "But why?"

"For our second honeymoon" he answered, his cheeks slightly changing into crimson. Seeing them, Ishani said "Ahem! Someone's cheeks are..." as Ranveer ruffled his hair, still blushing.

"Why? Why do we have to go?" she asked as Ranveer answered "Why? Why not, Ishani? It's been a long time since we spent time together. So I planned it for us and only both of us"

She smiled as she saw his eyes which were hoping for her to say a yes. "But Ranveer, what about our princesses? I mean, I cannot leave them alone."

His hopes fell and so was his face. Seeing them, Ishani felt like laughing at his cuteness. But then, she said "Are you sure that we have to go?"

"Oh" he said with his voice dejected, "It's okay" he stood up to take the tickets back as Ishani stopped "Why are you becoming serious, baby? I am ready to come along with you. But only on a condition"

"What?" his voice was now hoping with expectations as she said "What about them?"

"I'll take care of them. There are so many people in the house and I promise you that they'll take excellent care of them"

"Sure?" she asked with a smirk as he replied with a serious and positive response "Sure"

"I'm in! When are we leaving?" she said, getting up from her seat as he replied "Another two days" with a smile on his face.

"Okay. Shall we get back home now?"
