Comparisons don't bother him
Alok Nath is the common factor between his new serial Bidaai on Star Plus and his hit Rajshri film Vivaah. But he isn't too worried about comparisons between the two. Alok explains, "Serials last for a long time. Initially the plot is defined and once the serial gains momentum, the TRps dictate the story line. I agree there are many similarities between the film and the serial but one should remember that a film has a fixed storyline which concludes in three hours. in serials however, we have sub-tracks and deviations. I enjoy playing the role, and that's what's important." He adds, "Initially, I didn't want to take up the role since I thought it would be like a repetition. but then I realised that if someone has to do it anyway, then why not me. I love tv and would want to do a good negative role too, but no one offers me one," he says.
