As the show Gangaa takes a leap of 20 years, Arjita Mishradiscovers the changes that have come into the life of the protagonist
We have seen her as an inspiring character on television who stands against the wrong and evil. We are talking about the showGangaa, and its protagonist, played by child artiste Ruhana Khanna, who set the standard and popularised the show.
Now, we will get to see a 20 years of leap in the show where the kids, Gangaa and Sagar will be seen grown up. Actress Aditi Sharma will be seen as playing the protagonist Gangaa whereas Vishal Vashisht will be seen as Sagar.
When asked about the challenge they have taken to match upto the standard that the two kids have set, Sharma said, "I don't know whether I will get the same success as Ruhana got but I will try my level best. Definitely she has done a great job because then only everyone liked this show." Whereas, Vashist said, "This is for the second time when I am being compared with a child, just hope that audience will love me as Sagar."
The first few episode of the show is shot in Varanasi and Vashist shared his experience of the city. He said, "Varanasi has been a great experience, it is a very different city. As soon as you land here you will get to know that it is Varanasi." He added, "I have heard about the ghats before and now I feel lucky to shoot here and I think we have explored most of the ghatsand even managed to see the Ganga aarti."
Telling about his role, the actor continued, "After the leap you will find that Sagar is a changed person now. He has completed his education from abroad, and now, his mindset is completely changed."
On asking Sharma about her venture into TV she said, "This is a big step for me that I have decided to work in television and I just hope that this show does well. As an actor I think this is a very challenging role and somewhere this is definitely going to help me."
