Q. What are the budgets of Dilwale and Bajirao Mastaani and how will they share 5000 screens?

Ans. Bajirao Mastaani landing cost will be around 125 crore and Dilwale 100 crore without Shahrukh Khan remuneration. Both films combined should get more than 5000 screens together but will be sharing screens and its here where timings come into play. Both films will want shows in the peak periods rather than getting the early or late shows when screens are shared. It should be a 60-40 share in favour of Dilwale but as above mentioned above its more about the better screens and the potential capacity built rather than number of screens.

Q. Would it be better if Bajirao Mastaani released on Christmas Day so it can get benefit of holiday and be a solo release?

Ans. Its not really important as its coming on 18th December. A week late would only benefit it if Dilwale does not work, if it works it will give competition like a new release and the window is shorter with a 25th release. Ideally it should be coming on Republic Day week.

P. Aswal

Q. Which film was a bigger grosser in Overseas Singh Is Bling or Shaandaar and were they hits in Overseas?

Ans. Singh Is Bling was $4 million plus while Shaandaar grossed $3.25 million. Shaandaar was flop in Overseas while Singh Is Bling was decent. There have been only five hits in Overseas this year Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, Tanu Weds Manu Returns, Dil Dhadakne Do and Piku.

True. Salman takes a whopping a 50 cr! On the other hand DP, PC and Ranveer's fees combined should be <<<<<< 50 cr! 😆

cars blowing up is much cheaper than those huge sets, costumes, jewelries and BM also has war sequences..

btw isnt dilwale produced by srk? i dont think so he would charge his fees? or will he?

But according to this other site...dilwale's landing cost is 75 crore excluding SRK's fees.

While BM is anywhere between 120 to 150 crore.

if u include SRK"s fees it will be somewhere around 140cr and they are distributing themselves it will profit as soon it enters the 180-190cr zone(excluding the other revenues)

Avataar screens will be reduced and will go to Kartik's film but seems like Dhurandhar will keep atleast 50% screens even in its 4th weekend...
