Mirror has been told that Bhansali Productions will be carrying a disclaimer at the beginning of the film stating that "all characters appearing in this work are fictitious, any resemblance to real persons, living or dead, is purely coincidental".

hain?! whats this? It was based on historical characters and now puerly coincidental? Change the 3 leads names too then we will blv u. This controversy dmaging for BM and SLB.

the movie is based on a book that was written, its called 'Rao', it will hav many of the historical facts, but it is not a complete biographical, it will also hav fictional elements to it

Hain?? What is this disclaimer about??😳...While I totally support SLB on that a historical movie has to be modified a little so that it doesn't look like a documentary...there have to be dance and songs and the audience can't expect a 100 % authentic history from a BW movie...but totally totally...discarding everything that he was working on for the last 10 years and saying that its a fictional story and saying that the names etc are co-incidental...now that is cheating your audience SLB👎🏼

I agree with some of the demands of the Peshwa family with respect to Pinga and Malhari, but the rest are ridiculous.

I don't think even the descendants of Baji Rao resemble him that much, so why should Ranveer except in dress and mannerism. He shaved his head and underwent a transformation and did not take any movies. That speaks to dedication, so the object to Ranveer playing Bajirao is the loudest of my objection 😆.

Being serious, SLB put a lot of effort into this and it has some controversy but he seems to have a lot of respect. The disclaimer that 'no resemblance to anyone living or dead' is capitulating IMO. They could say inspired or something. There was always going to be controversy over Baji Rao because he existed, was a hero and so on. Saying the film is not based on him at all is a disservice to both SLB and the Peshwa family IMO.

ETA: When Malhari is turned to Malaria by spellcheck 🤔
