Dhruv as a character does not irritate me. Yes, he mops around a lot but he has lost a lot and is still mourning over it. Problem is he does not know how to get over it.
From my point of view, he is an extremely weak person, who cannot fight his own or any battles. His mother fought his battles and seems to have given his current life/status/career to him in a platter. He expected Thapki to fight his battles, when he fell in love. In earlier episodes, he even says to his mother, that between you and Thapki, I am protected from the whole world.
He mops around as he is not a person of action but only reflection. He first expected his mother to fix the situation when Bihaan-Thapki got married. Then he expected Thapki to fix the situation by coming to him after 3 months are over. He does not do anything to fix the situation on his own.
Now again, in the current shaadi drama, he does not have courage to tell Thapki to break her marriage, but expects her to break his marriage!!!
