Sonam's Dressing Sense

Hi,

Sonam surely is the centre of attention, be it her Mughalish face , her lovely face , her no-resemblance to her parents , her bond with Ranbir or the aura and hype around Saawariya. And of course, her dressing style.

Opinions are divided over her sense of fashion. The call of fashion today is slick, stylish, elegant and chic. No, Sonam is nothing even close to the adjectives I just used.....she is not stylish , she is not sexy, she is no glam....she is just two things- Regal and Classic.

Sonam comes from an upmarket and sophisticated family, her mother is a very stylish and glamourous woman and her father has looked cool in whatever he has worn. That's the lineage she comes from. My view is that Sonam is not a bad-dresser... she just likes to LOOK DIFFERENT and EXPERIMENT.

Her wardrobe can be classified as a fusion between Hindu/Mughal tradation and bohemian bubblegum.Gold beads and pearls with a moulin Rouge red dress..... a regal Hollywoodish Black Ensemble.... Magenta top with gold danglers ( reminiscent of 1980s)... Black stockings ( reflect Victorian era and have always been a symbol of female seduction). Sonam is basically a fusion dresser.

At first, i thought Sonam was indeed a bad-dresser but she has continued wearing what she likes.... she likes to experiment and is a wee bit crazy about colours and cuts - Donatella Versace is another painting dresser. Now, i feel Sonam just dresses different... not bad. 😆.....The girl looks a million bucks even in a gunny bag. 😉

I think she is elegant here also(though the dress is not fully revealed)...but in that black-red dress I liked the black portion but the lower red part I think should have started from a little bit waist portion.

I love her dressing sense. I was so tired of the clones all actresses had become. No personal style of their own and all looking like sluts. Sorry to say this but they look really trashy then classy. People may not be used to black stockings because they are used to actresses wearing nothing. But to me I find her so classy, elegant, understated and one of a kind. I'm glad she is not following the trashy trend and has re-invented her own. Plus she is beautiful enough to pull off anything so I say more power to her!!!!!!!

Yes she is so elegant that she can carry anything.

i just am in love with sonam's sense of style.....i luv how she wears clothes, tht rnt too revealing, and r classy, she looks beautiful in all of her clothes....she's my idol..lol....

Yes Nitica. Regal is the word. Classic is the word. Whenever I see Sona, elegance, class, royalty is what comes to my mind. I love how her designer has used traditional material and made a contemporary dress!! It's awesome!!

yep...she tries to be different..but dun u thnk that she looked beautiful in voi in that plain,simple and ordinary dress of hers..much better than those red dresses wid golden beads!..so basically,the experiment is not really working!!...u cnt want to create a fashion statement of ur own by looking like a weirdo..!!no offence guys..its just my point of view..im a ranbir sonam fan too..!
