He just can't afford to lose her...how he can act selfish...when she always act the selfless one. No, this time he can't do this to her. She had sacrificed so much only for him, his family and their happiness but what about her. Does his Mom even thought about her before asking her to bring Adi back, or any of his family member asked her that they are not ready to lose her...even if it is about Adi..!

As he stepped into their room, he looked how sad she was looking staring outside. As if he can feel the pain she was going through and over that the ignorance he have thrown her way had not made anything easy for her either.

That ignorance was just a way to run away from this situation...he almost left the decision on her not even thinking once what she had been through all this time listening to everyone pleas of bringing their Adi back. When she needed him the most he left her side and honestly he realized it isn't the first time he did this...but now...he can't...!

He knew signing the divorce papers have let her intentions of bringing Adi back clear but he knew if he didn't stopped her now...she won't budge either. She is as stubborn as him.

The whole night went in a blur. Raman and Ishita both wanted to be each other's side forever in peace but their life didn't let them to live a life together happily and peacefully. Ishita is firm on her decision but she needs Raman's signatures too and for that she needs to think of something soon.

They both were sitting on the bed cuddled with each other, maybe for last time. Ishita silently took her mobile and made her way out of the house. She called a number and said "Hello..."

"..."

"I want to meet you now"

"..."

"Okay..."

Done with her call she sat down there thinking for a while and then again dials a number.

"Mani..."

Like any other day, this day was no different. Everyone was sitting at the breakfast table in silence. No one dared to even utter a word owing to the situation they were stuck in. They aren't much aware of the storm coming in their lives.

Whole day went by but there was no sign of ishita. Raman was a bit scared but he masked his expressions not giving away anything. She didn't even answer his calls or messages. He was already upset from their night's conversation and now ishita's sudden absence was doing no good to him.

He knew she'll be back but still he was scared...scared of being left alone...once again. He wasn't good at handling his pain. And apart from that his only remedy was his Ishita. He was so much tensed about her whereabouts when he saw her walking in. He sighed in relief and hugged her in an instant.

He felt all his worries washing away from his system but something was amiss. She wasn't reciprocating his feelings back. He felt odd that she never did that to him. He moved back and saw her face which gave away nothing. He tried to read her eyes but couldn't find the answers.

"Ishita..."

"Raman please...don't ask me anything..,"

"Ishita...what happened. Are you okay.." Raman asked her showing his concern.

"okay...well I have never felt better before..." She said in sarcasm.

Raman was confused with her behavior and the way she was talking to him. He controlled his anger and asked "ishita...what are you talking about..."

"oh Raman...tell me..you actually don't know...or you are trying to be the innocent one..."

She turned around not wanting to face the hurt his eyes showed.

"why are you beating the bush around...jump on the topic...and where were you whole day...I was so dam worried about your whereabouts..."

He asked having a constant check on his anger.

"oh really...now that's a news to me...you were worried about me...like seriously..." she holds her breath and closed her eyes but then opened them in a second and turned around to face him with an angry face.

"You were worried...then where were you when I needed you the most...where were you when that ex-wife of yours had insulted my love for you and my family by throwing that dam divorce papers at my face...where were you when the whole family was getting hopes with me for bringing Adi back...where were you when I came to know that I..we..."

She stopped not knowing what to say next. She wasn't planning to evade the restricted area which she wanted to be kept hidden. She closed her eyes as tears made their way out. She didn't want to hurt him that bad but she wasn't left with any other choice.

With heavy heart she spoke again "where were you Raman when I needed you the most... waited for days and weeks raman but you didn't showed up...you are that selfish man who even didn't think twice before walking out on me...I still patiently waited for the day when you will come and share your pain with me...but you never showed up..."

Silence prevailed in the room. Even after realizing his mistakes, he was still feeling guilty listening to her outburst. He didn't expect this reaction from her. He tried consoling her but she moved away from him and said "You know what Raman...you are a one selfish man..."

She turned around and said "I know when Shagun gave you the papers..as always you have expected that Ishita is great woman..she will sacrifice everything to complete my family..Isn't it...and the best part...I am nowhere in this.."

"I know...you were expecting from me to sign those divorce papers and bring Adi back...This was your first thought Raman..."

"Ishita look I can explain...I was torn between you two...One side there was my son.whom I love like anything...and on other side It was you...who gave my daughter back to me...How can you expect to choose between you two..." He tried to clear his point though he knew he failed her once again. That look in her eyes told him this conversation was not going in the right direction.

"You know what raman...I was wrong to expect this from you...Actually I shouldn't have kept any expectation at first place. When they broke...it hurts, it hurts badly..."

"I thought...now atleast you will think about me first...but alas..! you proved me wrong...once again...you failed me Raman...Why it's me on the receiving end everytime...It suffocates me...Why Raman..Why..." She cried hard and falls down on the floor in front of him making him all the guiltier.

He tried consoling her while she just shrugged away his hand and shouted at him.

"Don't...Just don't touch me...You know where I have gone today...I have gone to meet your ex-wife."

She stood up and started narrating the conversation taken place between them.

"You know what she said...that you were never mine...You always belonged to her...and she will do whatever it takes to get back to you..."

"Ishita...Let her say anything...I love you and only you...understand that.." Raman said while holding her cheeks and making her look into his eyes.

""You know Raman...after I realized my feelings for you..I have always been scared of her...everytime she wanted to get back into your life...a fear creeps inside me...you know what is it..?"

He nodded in No making her laugh sarcastically at him.

"That if one day you left me because I can't carry your child and will eventually go back to her...And it is the truth that she is Adi and Ruhi's mother. No one can ever change that truth. Then Raman...what will happen that day..."

"Ishita..listen...please.."

"No raman..you listen to me...You know..Mummy ji..she came to me asking to bring Adi back ..no matter whatever it takes...no matter whatever the cost is..she wants her Adi...her ghar ka chiraag' back...She personally asked me...and then your family...no one stood for me...they just showed their pity on me."

"All the time you were away...no one even bothered at least to look after me...to atleast know about my health let alone console me."

She stopped and help her head and continued "Now what I am even supposed to do...You were not even there to share my sorrows...you were way too busy in handling your own grief. And then when I took a decision on my own...you turned it into my greatness for always thinking about others..."

"I wasn't obliged to sign those papers...but all of you made me realize that after everything...you people will still choose Adi over me ...and so I signed those papers thinking at least this will make everyone happy...and when I forwarded them to you...all of the sudden realizations dawned upon you...That you love me and you can't let me go away from you..."

"Where were you Raman all this while...why didn't it dawned upon you that how Ishita was feeling. And Adi...poor soul have become a toy for his parents...Don't you think he deserve to be with you..with Ruhi...I don't think I fit in here in this family...anymore...I"

She was venting out her anger frustrations hurt love all together but Raman has had enough of her allegations. He wasn't taking this crap from her anymore. So he shouted at her making her go all quiet.

"Enough is enough Ishita...what had got into you...Yesterday you were all fine ...but now...what changed...I have apologized for my mistakes...I know I should have been there for you..I know you needed me in that moment..But but you forgot that it is me who have to choose...that too between my love and life...DO you think it's easy enough..If you were here facing everything..then I was also alone there...I was in no better condition than yours...I was suffering each moment thinking about you and Adi...I was dying that at the end...one will leave me...I was way more scared than you..."

"I accept I shouldn't have left you here alone like this...but I was at mess...Shagun was way too prepared to leave. I can't afford to loose Adi again...but when I realized that the cost of bringing him back will means sending you away..I took my decision...I have chosen you dammit...you..over Adi...what do you even expect..." He shouted at her making her all the way guiltier for hurting him but she was helpless.

"Whatever it is Raman...I was never meant to be here...I can never complete your family Raman...I can't give you a child..your son..your heir...the only way I can give you your child is this..."

She showed him the set of divorce papers she got from Shagun. Indeed she had met her today and has assured her about the papers. Only she knew the pain she have gone through while signing them. She met Adi that time. He was crestfallen. And that weak moment turned her more adamant on her decision.

One look from him and she knew she can't do anything better than giving Adi back to his family. Maybe her own baby cannot give that much happiness which Adi can.

"I want a Divorce raman...I don't fit in here...but Adi does...he needs you all...and everyone want him to be back...lest Shagun will never let us reach to him...Please Raman...set me free...If you love me and wanted to see me happy...then do it...this is what I want.."

She stared deeply in his eyes and for once her resolution breaks seeing the amount of hurt she has had caused him. All the allegations were kept aside...but this is something even Raman can't ignore.

He just took the papers and reaching for a pen he signed them without even uttering a word to her. He took the signed papers and thrust it into her hands and said "This is what you were asking..see..I have signed them...Now you must be happy right...?"

He cleared his tears away and said "I have given you what you have asked for...I have signed away my happiness for your happiness...Bring Adi back home...everyone will praise you...but do remember...I will be nowhere in sight...Yeah you are right...Adi needs this family...but I too need you..more than anything..."

"Raman..." She tried to say something but her voice gave away while both were standing staring at each other in silence.

"And one more thing..I would have been more than happy..If you have given me our symbol of love..our own child...but then...I didn't know you think so low of me..."

She tried to speak but he shut her and continued "Everything is finished...Sorry for hurting you so much...But now there is nothing left between us to say...Enjoy your last night here..but remember...after you left this house...Adi will fill the void for others but not me...and maybe..i won't be able to accept him against you...but I will never forget my responsibility of being a father.."

He almost ran away from the room shutting the door behind him. He was broken. Never in his heart of hearts..he had thought that he would see a day like this.

He drove away on the lonely streets of delhi at this odd hour but he care less. On the other side it was no good for ishita, After he left she cried hard and called his name again and again but she knew he have already gone away and he will never come back. She cursed her life for snatching away love of her life and a family she adore.

She sat there crying for hours staring at the papers and cursing her faith..

ehh well..I should start typing next one while you start reading this and also don't forget to like and comment...Next update will be based on your reviews..and one more thing..I am changing it to a SS...I couldn't just wind it up in one part...
